Well birdie: The PLP destroyed the economy and thousands could no longer pay their mirtgage payments. You should be ashamed to even ask such a stupid self incriminating question. You are a bug part of the problem birdie. You support incompetent idiots who don't have a clue about governance or finance or nothing. And are fundamentally thieves & robbers.
We will be like Jamaica soon. And they are worse off than Haiti. I hope no one sinks them Haitian Sloops. Bahamians goin need them. And don't even try to land in the USA. They will have a wall all around Florida.
Bahamians accept this shit so easily. I am starting to believe that the African's supposedly sold into slavery actually came quite willingly. Christie is just the modern day Tribal Chief. Nothing changed in 400 years.
Why is there no personal accountability in all of this. That Bank has been left doing business as if nothing happened. Suppose someone unknowingly put some money in there and lost it ? I would have thought that the Central Bank and its Governor's past and present should be held accountable and personally liable. Including incarceration if appropriate. And send the Cabinet up too because they pulling the strings in Central Bank. Or YUKKIN the ROPE.
These are the times when a population with a D- grade intelligence is a boon for the governing party. These people have no idea what $7.604 billion is and think that GDP means Good Damned Party. And some bright spark wanted to tell Robert Myers not to talk about devaluation because it couldn't happen. Christie is hoping it won't happen before the election but as soon as the CB run low on those greenbacks they will have to ask for a bailout. I don't think we will see any FDI for some time to come. Not even Chinese FDI. WHy isn't Terrance Bastian already looking at the Carnival expenditure. This is just one of the ways that they can milk the Treasury without being noticed. Could be 100 million next year with the PLP election and so on around the same time. I loved the photo in the Tribune of Wilchcombe looking at the Carnival Dancers as if he had even the slightest rise in testosterone.
lionfish: Yes you got it on the head. This is not like coca cola or a MacDonald's franchise. Sandals anywhere is Sandals here. There is only one Sandals. Are we that stupid ?
