Tal: There is no opposition. There is more opposition to the PLP expressed in these blogs than is expressed in the HOA. That is some sad shit. If the bloggers here could run under their blog names, we could change the whole shebang in the house and have good governance till us bloggers were no longer equal with the rest of the population but were MORE Equal. In fact the Tribune should organize a meet and greet cocktail reception for its bloogers and one would have access simply by connecting your real name and blog name. I would hate to know who TalRussell is, and moreso birdiestrachan. It would be fun though.

The statement should be made by the "Party Leader" and not the Chairman. A way out of the party must be found for Minnis and whoever supports him. I agree with Shirley and Deveau Street - We need a convention within the next 30 days. Then we can move forward with a new leader to get rid of the real problem.

Another matter of significant concern is the role that web shop bank accounts will play in cutting off Correspondent Banking relationships for those Bahamas Banks that accept web shop deposits. When you can't buy an international draft to pay a foreign invoice then we may as well close the airport. I don't know about Fidelity and Commonwealth as to whether or not they accept gambling money but someone better look into this before we are surprised. BOB has JP Morgan for now but how long will that last. It is already strained with offshore banks which don't even touch Bahamian dollars.

Can anyone imagine the slippage and missing money when / if they get their hands on a National Health Insurance Plan. This is why they do not want the local health insurers managing this. ***no tiefing allowed*** !!!!
