He resigned for legitimate reasons. His involvement in this matter is dragging his organization down. He wanted to ensure that the organization could effectively do the job they are expected and that is to oppose this corrupt government.

He has done the honorable thing. Now, if only the PM and DPM would follow, it would allow for government to do that which they were elected to do and govern. Instead, we have the Government of the Bahamas and their minions fighting Nygard's battles.

In typical PLP style, when we do not wish to or have no intelligent reason to support our stand, we lodge petty attacks to appease the illiterate of the electorate.

Regardless, please read paragraph 3. It clearly states "she was contacted by the newspaper." There is a good reason why the media follows her. She can be counted on to give good arguments and be a good opposition member and hold the government's feet to the fire. If her colleagues would follow her example maybe the rest of us outside of the PLP and Minnis camps would want to hear from them.

She is right in her assessment. The Prime Minister's pronouncement have not been accurate today. She is simply saying, if he has gotten it wrong for the last year, then he is not a very reliable source.

She is also right in that he needs to disclose to the Bahamian people what is taking place or keep quiet. She wants it open, but less talk and more action from our PM.

I don't know where in the article it says that the Chief Councillor received or did not receive a warning from the MET Office that the storm was coming. I see that he asked NEMA for supplies at a conference. That conference was held in ***June 2015*** at the start of the hurricane season. I don't see where he blames anything on equipment failure. His concern is that NEMA failed to provide the supplies prior to and even after. Those are the issues.

Stop defending stupidness and let us be concerned with addressing the issues.

Neymour is making some sense. If the party is mandated by its constitution to hold a convention every two years, it would seem that they are either putting the next one too close to the general election (which is dangerous) or prepared to go against its constitution.

All the talk and still the Minister has not answered any of the questions. Any concerned Bahamian has the right to ask why a school for nine (9) students costs $500,000 just to repair and not even build a new one.

The problem is the Minister takes us all for fools. Give us answers. If he can't do it, he needs to be replaced with someone who can do it. Tired of all the bullcrap!

NassauBoy77 says...

This seems like another waste of taxpayers money. The school has ***nine (9) students*** enrolled and we are going to waste $500k to repair. Why not a new school building? I wonder who is the recipient of this contract? Party crony???
