The problem with the PLP is that it is a party of individuals....there is no unity.....everyone contradicts each other and it appears that no one has control over anyone in the party. This will continue to be the downfall of the PLP if it is not addressed.
I love how everyone here is an expert without any facts to back them up. The real issue is not the government it is us as a people. We love to tear everyone and everything down. However, no one wants to do the work to build things up and keep the country working. The loss of this building is a sad day for The Bahamas and the people of Andros. Let's focus on that. Let's support the rebuilding of this building to make sure the students have a safe place to stay and study. Not everything is a government conspiracy.
To those who oppose VAT what are your alternatives to generating revenue in this current economic climate? Do you expect this country to continue on with no ability to generate income to support our infrastructure?
Dr. Rollins should tread lightly and learn from those he now criticizes. The DNA and the FNM are not interested in Rollins. They only want to stick it to the PLP. It will be a mistake for Rollins to leave and jump ship to another organization. His political fate will be sealed. Maybe not forever but a move like that would hurt his credibility. The same people who are coaxing him to make a move, will be the same ones would would vote against him come election day. Politics is a dirty game it's not for the faint or thin-skinned....Tread lightly Dr. Rollins... tread lightly....
One more thing.....The DNA and the FNM need to focus on their organizations and prepare a platform people can consider for the next election. Bahamians deserve sensible options. Right now it is not looking good....
This is a sad day for Bahamians not because of the issues of Cable & Wireless but because of our inability (as citizens) to move on from our sense of entitlement. As I read the comments posted all I see are emotional irrational responses. Instead of encouraging disruptive behavior, the unions should focus on preparing Bahamians to compete in the new workforce.
