The problem is not NEMA nor the defence force officers. I live here in Acklins. I do not give two hoots about politics because to me all politicians are about the same thing- themselves and not the people. fnm, plp they are all cut from one cloth and it is so sad that so many people can't see that that these politicians do not care. The problem here in Acklins is that the people do not like law, order and have no regard for authority. If they can't get there way it is a major problem. This is not like Hurricane Irene where it was a free for all and everyone do as they please. You have to sign for goods collected and you can items once per week with enough goods for your household. The building supplies are under close watch because in Irene lots of wickedness happened. People built two and three homes of of Nema and Hurricane Irene. This protection of goods and accountability is to avoid stealing. Greediness on this island right now is real and people are upset. Because the defense force officers are here it is a problem. ORDER is needed not slackness. Thank goodness they are here because people's personal stuff from on boat day may have been stolen if it had not been for those men and women doing their JOB. I love this island and this is my home but as a people we need to do better. Stop dragging people name through the mud just because they trying to do their job. How hard is it to follow protocol? No we want pack boxes of the goods to take home for ourselves that's why we mad. The problem is too much food is on the island. People complaining about how much tuna and corned beef they gat yet still they mad and wanna drag people through the mud for more. Hold ya mule, behave yasef, respect authority and be thankful.
