Not a scam just one ignorant self serving narcissist who only cares about retaining office and treats this like his own reality show. Don't wish him to die but he needs to suffer the ventilator and the extreme discomfort that goes with it to see what those unable to get or afford his special treatment go through and maybe, just maybe start to take this disease seriously. He already has started the PR spin about learning what its like and gullible supportets lap up this bullshit.
How can any normal intelligent person even to begin wishing another term for this disgusting lying deluded idiot. What is it that needs to happen before those supporters see reality. The man lies on tape then denies it, dodged the draft 5 times and makes disgusting comments about pow's and dead servicmen, Makes fun of Bidens sons when his sons have never served in the military, makes fun of disabled (yes its on video) and grabs women by the pus_ey. And thats just the tip of the iceberg. How the hell can anybody defend this despicable leader o f a great country.
Why oh why did the previous deputy diredctor recruit teachers from Cuba who in some cases barely speak understandable english, have little interest in the students but rather how much stuff they can buy to take back to Cuba, and yet competant teachers exist here. Here is an idea Mr Loyd,in the areas most lacking such as woodwork, Auto why not get competant tradesmen or women or BTVI students to assist existing teachers and take summer courses for t he theory part.,then instead of bringi ng over a Cuban or having empty workshops you give a job to a Bahamian who has a vested interest because he lives here.
The joke is the BUT banner solidarity? Utter bullshit, whilst all teachers pay closed shop dues, voting on motions involving expats in particular are usually met with a resounding "no"!. Additionally Belinda whilst spouting causes for the teachers as a whole will not put the same effort in fighting individual cases of victimization by the MOE on teachers.yet look how vigorously she defended herself in court to regain her position. . By any standard the annual accounts leave a lot to be desired especially the so called teachers pension scheme.
I remember when Kalik was introduced around the time when a case of Heiniken or Bud was around $17, . Yes home grown beer which costs about the same for a 6 pack of Kalik in the states as one does in the country it is produced in. For to long we have been ripped off. Lower the price, more consumption, less imports ,cost per bottle decreases. I hear cost of imported ingredients being touted as an excuse so how can this beer presumably be made in the Bahamas, shipped to the USA and still be much cheaper. Just another example of the few lining their own pockets at the expense of the country and working class.
Years ago went "so called private" at PMH. Room located sonewhere in male surgical. Shower didn't work, AC full on directly above patient, no bedside light,no change of sheets or dressings, sour milk every morning with breakfast , very few if any regular checks by nurses, and an incompetant aged supply nurse who refused to believe I was having an asthma attack..You could hear the nurses laughing and joking down the corridor but you coyld be dead way before they checked in on you. No internet because it had been disabled because to many staff were using it to watch porn. A doctor who was doing my surgery needing cash before he started despite being told that security had it for safekeeping. I did write and complain but never received a reply.
Interestingly enough some citizens who do not pay their bills have flashy cars and trucks or take frequent trips to Miami, before paying bills. With regard to the government shortage of money in my experience the previous deputy director would have a nice trip to Cuba to hire teachers whilst unemployed Bahamian teachers are waiting and waitingto be employed, or the mad cap schemes such an paying an american company to initiate a computerised report card system ( now defunct) for MOE schools or even better the scheme paid for to have all practical subjects on a rotating subject system, so students did woodwork, then all changed to do Tech drawing, then cookery and so on. Reps came over from the USA, free tee shirts etc.Never worked because it necessitated a large building so subjects could be taught each module . Another expensive scheme abandoned. Failed hospital in Palmetto Point where at great expense purchase of land from local MP and clearing created nothing more than a huge pile of curry. So many ill thought out schemes paid for and abandond is one part of why the Bahamas is somdeep in debt.
Love it after all the cash squandered by the previous PLP.. "reduce inefficiency and waste". Mr Cooper do you remember the lavish plans, months of heavy equipment use, several visits by Perry Christie and countless other functionaries, the ground breaking ceremony, buying the land from an ex PLP cabinet member and what is there to show for it a huge pile of curry a flat area surrounded on three sides by cliff faces a dissapointed PLP supporter who had the building contract and no hospital in Palmetto Point. All the while workers house largely empty with great parking, great location and accomodation upstairs for nurses and doctors was ignored simply because there was little political mileage tp be gained from a conversion as opposed to this grandiose hospital which believe it or not included a helipad. Tell us Mr Cooper how much was wasted on this one PLP project
