Why would anyone aspire to be in these powerful positions in any party in any country.Simple power and the ability to enrich oneself either in office or after. Look at Christie, Pindling, Tony Blair just to name a few who have risen to the top of the gravy train. We the electorate are simply voting fodder to help them on enriching their career paths.
I love it ,no space in a little house, little food, begging and a brand new $40,000 car outside. Typical black attitude, all show even if you can't pay it back.
Life is really interesting, when a uneducated or unconnected young man or woman steals asmall item or is caught with a joint he or she face a hefty fine or jail. Now we have a sissy politician who milked the public purse by his extravagant trips all over the world and he is voted back in to a position of power.
In years of teaching in High schools putting in a requition for practical departments was a total waste of time. Some goons in the DOE decided what a particular subject needed with no discussion with the teachers. Additionally I remember on one odd occasion when the woodwork tools that arrived were cheap indian rubbish, Why did Joel Lewis continually go to Cuba to recruit when that talent was already present. Why is there no money for basic supplies but always money for airline tickets, hire cars etc for visiting speakers.?
What uttet drivel. These power cuts are the result of all political parties since independance wasting money and not using commonsense to update and replace old equipment. And the majority of that time it was a PLP government who also left the country deep in debt with nothing to show. The money spent on excavating thousands of tons of curry for a hospital that could never be built in Palmetto Point is just one example of money down the drain.
With reparations where do you start-With Arabs who still enslave their people, Saudi Arabia who still employ cheap slave labour, to the African tribe leaders who sold their people into slavery or how about closer to home for all the years that black Bahamians had to leave Spanish Wells before sunset. Yes many of the countries colonised by the UK, Portugal and others did many things wrong but maybe the UK should ask for reparations from the Romans or Vikings who invaded, raped and pillaged the UK. Time for long independent countries to stop blaming their failures on past masters and get on manage and take responsibility for their own progress. As Bogart correctly said their is modern day slavery in every country.
