So now we have environmentally protected areas or is it economic zones, or do we have the money or we have access to the money ? All the while my family and friends have no jobs while
you and others collect nice salaries and spend time and money cultivating what in most cases is foreign support.

Funny, in Palmetto Point under the last administration a huge hospital was going to be built.Rather than use flat crown land ,land was purchased from a former PLP member and great cost, a hill was cut into using bulldozers and truck for weeks on end. Of course after several groundbreakings nothing happened and P Point is left with enough curry to provide several ski slopes when the climate changes. The amount squandered is rumored to be between 5 and 7 million. Is there any complaint about this, is anybody brought to account ,as someone must have signed off on all these contracts. The answer is a resounding NO. The government clinic is in a deplorable state, plaster peeling off, cracks in the concrete, stained floors etc and yet this huge sum was spent on an excavation that cost a fortune. And you wonder why the country is in debt when projects like this are developed purely for political purposes, to enrich a few and obvious economical answers ignored. Why has this administration not investigated and named the culprits.

30,000 Bahamians- Rubbish, mostly foreigners and very few Eleutherans. As for One Eleuthera please tell what exactly is their plan and why has it suddenly been put forward albeit very vague.

Do you live here Mary. Every company that invests all over the world doesn't necessarily exploit . In many countries such the government will put in roads, infrastructure and tax benefits just to encourage companies to come in. You have many ideas, but the people in S Eleuthera have suffered for years and can't feed their kids or have electricity turned on because of the beauty and mystery.

One Eleuthera has completed several notable projects which include the fire/ambulance station aand training college but in all the years it has been in existence has it made noticeable inroads to the unemployment and poverty down south. Creating sustainable well paying jobs in bulk is difficult even for Governments. That being said I am sure everyone would like to see exactly what alternative One Eleuthera has to Disney.

And all the 26000 persons in opposition are doing so just to protect the planet. Everyone directly involved has a vested interest whether that be financial or otherwise.

Oh but isn't it about providing jobs and the community. What is the plan for One Eleuthera specifically, and the "economic zones". If there is a plan and money ready then tell the public and do it.

One Eleuthera basically stops at Tarpum Bay. Mr Ingraham must be congratulated on several projects but one wonders why after all these years we now hear about One Eleuthera and plans for developing the area in question. Who are his backers, and why do we not hear about Cotton Bay development or does Mr Ingraham not feel its newsworthy enough.Of the supposed 26000 petition sigantures most have to be from foreigners not native Eleutherans.

Funny how nobody complained about Princess Cays being developed. Um! Where was One Eleuthera then?
