If Bahamians could be objective concerning any subject, we would all benefit from the knowledge to be gained therefrom. The mention of the name Solomon Humes may have caused some eyebrows to be raised, because few people know the man. For the record the late Mr. Humes was an employee of a legitimate duly registered entity that conducted business in financial services in the Bahamas for more than sixty years. The same entity (still operating), employed V. Prosa, I. Dumont, G. Farrington, D. Demeritte, a Former Ambassador, Mr. Johnstone, S. Wallace, just to name a few. Mr. Humes did not operate a private trust for his personal benefit he acted as servant for the trust company, his employer

Sheeprunner12 makes reference to Cuban cars. The cars one supposes he /she refers to are not /were not manufactured in Cuba. What is evident though, about those cars, is the Cuban genius that keeps them running.

Why are the brothers and sisters who support the national mess that Pintard was/is involved in? When and where were the 'hate' rallies executed? 'Hate' rallies is a term that originated in the deep south, usa. Bahamians don't conduct 'hate' rallies. We love our genuine brothers and sisters. But HELL will freeze hard before the gatekeepers who are among us allow ham or bacon to mess with our sovereignity. Those who are shouting nation for sale are themselves the salespeople. Every rope has two ends. Go figure that.

Best wishes and hope that your stay in the newly found country will never be affected by corruption in politics. By the way, politics is corrupt because many of the people who are served by politicians are corrupt too.

The land above the high water mark, (where the sea reaches at high tide) on Cabbage Beach, is private property. Those people who want to make that area a flea-market, and the politicians who 'support' their claim otherwise, will be trespassing. They have rights to the beach area between the high water mark and the sea. They have no right to demand location of a beach access through or adjacent to privately held property. What's next?

The route through the Old Bahama Channel should have been taken from Florida to Puerto Rico. Though longer, it was safer to go that route, on the first leg of the journey, in the weather conditions that prevailed. It is elementary. Time might have been lost; but lives might have been saved.
