Well said...investors (and tourist) have many options...they have alternative places/things to invest in...the Bahamas isn't "that special"....it's just another location or opportunity to invest in...period....time for politicians and people wake up to the present world and stop living in the past....

Unions, another word for "let me line my own pockets with the dues of members and add not value"....unions are outdated and hindrance to this nation moving forward in their labor practices....good riddance....the mindset that Bahamas is the "only place to come" is absurd and stupid....tourist have choices now without having to deal with absurd high prices and crappy service.....wake up people.....or dye an slow death
There are already droves leaving at the end of the month or before due to not getting paid due to govt intervention with central bank.....so along with the down turn in real estate also goes the brain trust that was to make baha mar successful and to transfer knowledge to Bahamians....and don't even talk about the economic impact on restaurants, gas stations, retail stores, etc etc....so thanks Bahamas....
You mean $7.5 million that the govt legally owed Baha Mar!....but was hedging on paying cause every politician and official lacks the moral courage to pay their legal obligations, that $7.5 Million?!
So, now we live in a Communist country where people can't speak their minds or against politicians or policies? Wow....guess china's reach has gotten deeper into the Bahamas than originally thought! Watch out Bahamas, you'll be the next communist nation. What next...limiting the number of children people can have? Or where they can travel?
