Sure.

Till the PLP come back to power and you have to rehire all the people you let go to make the business profitable.

But it's a great financial opportunity. For someone else.

Just look at the passengers on any Bahamasair flight out of Florida back to Nassau.

Average weight: 300 pounds.

Your average Bahamian should be made to buy 2 tickets when flying.

Whatever this tax is, it is not nearly enough.

I would personally like to thank the Minister for the opportunity to pay with my hard earned money the privilege of buying a loss making business which I will have then to turn around by firing a bunch of politically connected thugs who will come along and fire bomb my house.

This is a wonderful opportunity. I recommend it...to someone else.

These guys are in the sun. Want to see the Bahamian workers? They are in the shade. And have been since 7am.

On Can you Pointe out the local workers?

If these "vendors" knew how to behave, no one would have a problem with them.

It's only because they have aggressive selling tactics and don't take NO for an answer that all this has kicked off in the first place.

Tourists are perfectly happy to be offered something (but not 50 things one after another) and are perfectly happy if someone smiles and says "thank you, sorry for bothering you" after their refusal to buy.

Nothing to do with racism or classism. Just don't bother them and be nice. It's not them being racist, it's you being stupid and not understanding that not everyone wants or needs a straw hat.

You legalize marijuana and I will take advantage. i will sell them millions of rum cakes laced with the stuff. But until you do, keep your mouth shut. As there is nothing we can sell them that they can't buy cheaper and better at home.

Do you ever actually check what you read somewhere, or can your mind just not cross check facts?

The TOTAL world population is estimated at 7.6 billion people. Of these, 1.3 billion are under the age of 5. Over 2 billion do not have electricity. How the hell are 7 billion people going to be on Facebook?
The right number is published by Facebook themselves: 1.2 billion. And that is optimistic.

Try using your brain, such as it is.

I would much rather pay $2k for someone who is going to actually work than pay nothing for someone who is going to stand around pretending to work.
Ever had anything actually done to a finish by a Bahamian? Enough said.

Our government is really not joined up.

On one hand you have Agriculture wanting to become 100% self sufficient in chicken production by 2020, on the other hand you have the PM talking about being in WTO by end 2019.

You know what chicken production will be in the Bahamas if we are in wto? zero. It is much cheaper to produce it in the US.

Now, as an investor, you go navigate between these two. That is why nothing ever gets done in the Bahamas.

More to the point, next time an EU citizen asks me how to get permanent residence, I will not tell him to invest $1m in a property and pay the $10,000 application fee. I will quite simply tell him to go to PMH and bribe someone with $500 and get a birth certificate showing he was born here to illegal immigrants. Problem solved.
