@ Thisisours, there is no plan because there can be no plan. Because nothing can be done. We are a tiny number of people on rocks in the middle of the sea. We have absolutely zero marketable labor skills. We have the most expensive energy on the planet. We have no ability to produce anything at a cost which is even comparable to any world price. With that as the background, there can be no PLAN. There can only be tinkering with the current situation and firefighting various emergencies as they arise. For hundreds of years we have specialised not in wealth creation but in theft of other people's wealth, which they created. From piracy to bootlegging to drug running via tax evasion: the only time it was "good" in the Bahamas was when we were sticking our noses in the trough of wealth other people created. Well, that business model has come to an end. And our lack of education has not prepared us for a new one. So, no. There is no PLAN.
Birds of a feather flock together. The PLP magpies will look out for each other. I mean, the younger party members have to start stealing in 5 years, right?
OK, jailing Christie might be too hard. It needs evidence. So, start with those lower down. Bring them all in for questioning. Every single one. And offer them a deal: squeal on your superior and your sentence will be cut in half. You will get to Christie and all ministers in no time. Then jail them all for 50 years, seize all their property and sell it. Seize all property belonging to close and distant family. Strip them of citizenship. Let them wander the Earth looking for some other fool prepared to give them shelter. Maduro might.
To answer your question: because the bad loans were made to corporations with limited liability, not individuals. You don't think the PLP cronies who got the loans would be as stupid as to take them under their own names, do you?
Should you be right (and I have no idea either way), it begs the question: is there a single honest person on these islands? Because this lady looking for $134,000 for a bun with cheese and a lettuce, probably is not.
You are naturally free to waste your time in any way you see fit, but your first sentence pinpointed who your beef is with: " EXIM Bank of China did not approve to pay any US vendors or former US employees any of the monies owed to them." Google the Chinese Embassy address in Washington DC and protest there. We might be a "joke", but we still know how to follow a cogent argument.
You are undoubtedly right: it is meant to fail, for a specific reason. However, I can think of 10 ways you can launder money and exchange B$ for US$ far more easily and cheaper. If that is the intention, the people behind the project should give me a call.
