Politically speaking, I must agree, this WILL be the toughest election for politicians in The Bahamas, the U.S.A, the U.K and many other countries around the world, especially since Brexit, while my opinion on Brexit is 'middle lane' I hope Bahamians are waking up to realize what politicians are really about, and how much power we have to make change, they're all scared now. It's quite evident now, that more and more of our politicians in The Bahamas are succumbing to the highly orchestrated, unapologetic, global capitalist greed ideology that is leaving 'Main street' bankrupt and suffering worldwide. Bahamians, if you are hurting and YOU decide to vote the same corrupt dinosaur back into office for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th time, shut up and take it with no vaseline! none! rather, for doing the same thing over and over again because of party affiliation, and/or colors expecting a different result, add sand instead of vaseline! When proven defunct politicians like Alfred Gray and others have been re-elected over and over again for 20+ years and you're still using outside toilets in 2016? you deserve those mosquito bites! It's time for young people to wake up to this 'Master and Slave, divide and rule politics' that's being viciously played by both fnm & plp for 40 years; quite frankly it downright appalling and treasonous to those who know better! It's sad to say less than 24 hours after making a comment on a story about Bahamians having a difficult time, (http://www.tribune242.com/news/2016/jun…) we have another suicide in The Bahamas. Depression, hopelessness etc is becoming a huge problem. It's been scientifically proven that cannabis is great for PTSD etc, this is why a bill was passed in the U.S senate so war veterans can now choose alternative methods to help them live a better life. Gone are the days when you can 'pump' citizens full of religion and expect them to live a poor and spiritual life; we are now living in an information age, while we may not have the best educational system in the world, citizens can read the truth, or there's YouTube to just sit back and watch the truth. The time has come my fellow Bahamians to rise up from comfort and take back our country from these corrupt Dinosaurs and their cronies. In America people taking pills are jumping out of 12 story windows, celebrities overdosing, the same pills are legally all over our Bahamaland. I know cannabis is controversial in The Bahamas, however, watch Youtube a bit more about the lies from the past and the current truths. I hate to say it but it really seem like Cannabis will truly be the healing of our nation, financially, socially, educationally, physically, environmentally and even spiritually! Where is Guy Fawkes When We Really Need Him! Because of legal cannabis, Colorado is rolling over in so much cash, not only they using it for the homeless but giving scholarships to college kids! Bahamian families are having a very difficult time, people in The Bahamas are now committing suicide, and sadly, it's going to get worse if something does not change. I know our young men seem like a pain in the you-know-what to the Bahamas, but take a survey, which young adult will not work in the cannabis industry if it was legal? But let's be honest here, Bahamian politicians do not want an educated electorate, only them and their kids and their cronies and sweetheart kids, preparing them to take their spot to continue more of the same. Legalize cannabis, tax it, use it for college scholarships and education and let's prepare our youths for a prosperous globalize economy. Stop depending on educated Expats, and threatening to deport them when they don't give in to your cronyism. The Bahamas is in a fantastic location, we do not have to be selling off our natural resources to pay bills, just set the youths free and create an environment for them to think outside the box, rather than everyone trying to rob, pimp or control someone for their own selfish gain, (I am talking about those crooked pastors too) When in 2016 you have a 70-year-old Dinosaur gynecologist who has seen more Bahamian *___* than Nighty Knowles, as head of National security, no wonder crime is skyrocketing! He has too much of 'something' on his brain and it ain't power.

These leaders are a disgrace! Isn't he a doctor? It does not matter his field, whether is gynecology or heart surgeon am sure by now he should have something better to say about cannabis. Addicted? so what about all the alcohol and prescription drugs freely flowing in the Bahamas that's literally killing people and literally causing many sickness and death? This is really sad! Especially now that the TRUE racist reason why U.S President Nixon and his crew made cannabis illegal is all over the news and social media; not to mention the many health, social and financial benefits of legalizing cannabis is producing for states in the same country where he got his propaganda from. I don't believe Microsoft a federal government contractor will get involved in cannabis if those boogeyman ideology he believe in was true. CNN's Dr. Sanjay Gupta who was once against cannabis legalization simply because he was protecting his medical license even apologized for his past anti-cannabis rhetoric. This is why the youth have no respect for these old dinosaurs, when you know the truth its exasperating when you hear your 'leaders' talk like this. We're getting left behind, Jamaica legalized wheres the fire and brimstone?. All the Caribbean countries with a high concentration of people of color and black males (which was Nixon and his crew target to destroy) should be ashamed of themselves! I do not use ANY drugs, legal or not legal, however, as a citizen to ignore facts just to satisfy my own greed, lining my own pockets from anti-legalization capitalist like the alcohol and pharmaceutical lobbyist while my country and our youth continue to be disenfranchise, while, like the USA, growing a huge prison industry on the backs of our youth, for a harmless drug is next to treason. Young people, this is your future, you can make change, use your votes as your weapon and get rid of all of them regardless of party colors!
