It takes oil to produce electricity now but The Bahamas has the resources to be 100% renewable.
- Batteries are used in the car until they degrade enough to significantly affect range - Then they get a second life as a stationary battery pack or the packs are disassembled and the cells re-integrated into battery packs for EV conversions (check out EV West's youtube page) - Then they are fully recycled since all the material in the batteries are valuable and 100% recyclable.
