Unbelievable, But I'm sure the government will have plenty of money for male 'priorities' that don't involve paying the nurses (mainly women) for their valuable work in looking after the health of the community.
Too often countries are destroyed by international resource companies. All negotiations between the Bahamian government and this oil company need to be transparent and available to the public, and: 1) The Bahamas government should make sure they get the maximum royalties possible out of this. 2) This should go into the Bahamian economy, not some politicians' back pockets. 3) The oil company needs to pay a big deposit against pollution incidents. Too often these companies pollute and then declare bankruptcy.
A bunch of incompetent men on an ego trip, who were unable to plan anything other than hiring the most beautiful girls in the world to promote their fantasy. Terrible to see a hard-working woman like Mrs. Rolle ripped off by these idiots.
Why? Undeveloped would be a better point of difference unless you want to end up like Amsterdam, Dubrovnik, Venice etc. where they are so tramples under by tourists that they are beginning to have to turn them away.
There are so few unspoiled places left on this planet. Why destroy the Bahamas by developement?
Just look at the damage that years of oil from jet skis have done to the sea floor of Cabbage Beach. Stand on the beach, look out at the light brown patches on the sea floor that never used to be there. Then swim out, dive down and get yourselves a handful of sand. You will find it is crusty, because it is caked with oil.
Then try and imagine what years of cruise ships will do to Lighthouse Point.
Exactly the kind of reply you'd expect from a Trump supporter. Just an insult, no facts. Trump lies every time he opens his mouth. Sad that so many people seem to be OK with that.

If BP had thought they were up for a big financial penalty they might have done the right thing and been more careful. But you're probably right.
