We have sought advice from the experts. ALL have said drilling for oil must cease. The advice we have sought comes from those who have only our well-being in mind. The experts you propose have money alone on their mind. Who should we be seeking advice from? The one's who say drill baby drill? Or, the ones who have studied the planet, the patient, and have arrived at a reasonable conclusion? I am an anti-driller and I have relied on scientific facts alone. K4C, you another paid shill? I think you are. Do you really care about Bahamians and our country? Or, just what you can get and then run? Pretty clear to me.
The Bahamas National Trust is exactly right on all points. How can we stop this money lust madness? Whether or not the majority of Bahamians realize it, this threatens our entire nation. What we gonna do?
Any company, or Bahamian citizen who has ever done work for The Bahamas knows how difficult it is to get paid in a timely manner. It is disgraceful. Absolutely disgraceful.
Fred Smith says,“I don’t know why the Government of The Bahamas, both FNM and PLP, have to gamble with our future by engaging with a speculator,” Mr Smith said. “This is an astonishingly irresponsible roll of the dice by the Government, and I call upon the Prime Minister and minister of the environment to stop this experiment, this uncontrolled experiment, on our environment. The risk is just too great for the paucity of the return.”
I don't care what you think about Fred Smith, he is exactly right on this.
Dr. Minnis says,"Tomorrow I’m travelling to Cat Island and I will meditate and discuss with some of my colleagues and by the time I come back sometime next week we will have to make announcements moving forward.” Perhaps Prime Minister Minnis could meditate on whether his silence on this oil drilling is helpful to the people of The Bahamas. If he truly meditated with an open mind and intellect the answer would be a resounding "No".
The conflicts of interest seem to get buried as each of them claims the Bahamian people stand to gain. It is sad to see so many get swung. The rot starts at the top. pm minnis- Please speak to this matter and tell us how risking our country, our economy, our food sources, our jobs, is worth the tremendous risks this endeavor involves. I too smell a rat. BPC knows just how to place the cheese.

Why do you only have something to say when oil drilling is concerned. Is this the sum of your concern for The Bahamas? Get a real job.
