Bonefish, All this tells us is that people need to be educated. Just what the rich don't want, for if people were educated they would understand that Sanders is the only one who has all of the groups you mentioned in his policy interests. Please understand, the US is only working for the fewer. Once people wake up they would understand that the rest of these guys, proven by their records, work for the bankers and the richest. They do not represent the vast majority of people. It does boil down to education. Just what the US and The Bahamas is lacking. Wonder why?
"America is prospering again?" Listen closely to Sanders. He doesn't lie. The stats he provides are what the real America looks like. The 1% is prospering. The vast majority are struggling, just like here. sweptaway, turn off your TV and do some honest reading. TV is meant for one reason, and one reason alone. To sell things. The airwaves are owned by billionaires. Are you one? The death of both The Bahamas and the US will be because the people have become willfully ignorant and continue to elect rich jackasses who claim to be "Christian" who really couldn't give a damn about anything other than themselves, their donors and their re-election. America is not prospering, unless you mean the stock market. Know how many ordinary Americans own stocks? Probably not, cause you won't see these stats on TV. Please, do some reading and get a grip on reality.
Kevin, Do you know anyone from Mr. Forbes constituency? For god's sake. He has been a useless representative from the get go. He is non-existent on Mangrove Cay. Non existent. On Mangrove Cay, I know of not one person who is happy with his representation. Not one, Kevin and I know everyone on this island. You are so full of it. Stick to something who know, Kevin. Like the nonsense you usually write about. You are so out of touch it is laughable. We have no clinic, no doctor, BEC office is open sometimes. BTC much less often. No Road and Traffic, no new NIB cards. Nothing. We have gone backwards each and every year Mr. Forbes has been in office. Kevin, you are full of shit. Full of it.
You should not have to ask for money. PM Minnis should have already called you by now, to offer to pay for your trip entirely. This is a paltry sum compared to the waste by this government in courting much less worthy causes and the salaries for our do-nothing MPs.
Your comment is proof that our collective IQ is dropping steadily. I'm sure you read a lot. All of the science journals, all of the stats on dead zones. The dramatic decline in fisheries the world over. Again, must work for BPC or need a job.
While it may not be too late for many of our kids, I firmly believe it is too late for this country. Take an honest look at our political, business and religious leaders. Is this not enough to convince anyone paying attention that we have already failed? I am just being honest. Those who get educated, truly educated, not just a medical or business degree, will not come back to The Bahamas. What is there to come back to? Some may make it financially. But, what truly is there to come back to? Crime will be increasing as the cost of living increases. More businesses will find they are unable to find qualified applicants. As is happening already. What indicators, for those who are optimistic by nature, could show us that things will be getting any better prior to sea level rising to make all else child's play. Simply reading would make a difference. Where are the books in Bahamian households?
Just wondering how much it cost BPC to buy off our MPs. Our own representatives can't be ignorant of what this will really cost this country, can they?
How many Bahamian preachers and pastors do you honestly believe have achieved the intellectual endeavor you have requested? "In order to change this cultural norm or to reaffirm the traditional/conservative position on corporal punishment, it is therefore imperative that our qualified Christian theologians (men and women who have earned high level courses in hermeneutics, the original languages of the Scriptures, theology and training from recognised seminaries) clearly enunciate the scriptural position on corporal punishment, and prepare to give a full and objective exposition of the biblical texts on the matter."
Paying all the costs. You are completely ignorant of economics. Every person on earth pays the cost of our deadly fossil fuel use now. In health, in economic subsidies, in dealing with the disasters, both short and long term. Were the investors the only ones who paid for the Horizon oil spill? Or was it all life forms and the economy of the Gulf Coast? Are you so ignorant , selfish and greedy that you can't even acknowledge the basics? Or, is there more to your interest in this intellectual failure of our nation?
