The honest truth is that the Bahamian people will continue to get squeezed and punished for the crimes of our so-called leaders. Any educated person reading the national papers over the last 20 years can come to no other conclusion. Every financial, economic, health, educational, environmental, and social indicator suggests the trend is to negative territory, and that the people will continue to punish. We lack the transparency, the democratic values, the education, and the morality to overcome the challenges that are sure to rear their heads in the very, very near future. Neither this present failed PLP administration, nor the historically ineffectual FNM party contain the leaders, real leaders. necessary to guide our country forward. Were we to move our country away from the childish party loyalty and the nepotism which we seem to refuse to see the inherent danger of, there can be no forward, upward or onward motion in this nation.
A celebration of ignorance and theft. Most of the Bahamian population, people who work for a living, are eternally being screwed by a group of people who can ONLY think about themselves. So, long as we remain ignorant of the true problems we are facing, by listening to people who have been professionally trained to mislead, lie, and steal, we will continue to fall for the simpleton's theater that The Bahamas presents every 5 years. We have not only been duped by these charlatans, we have sacrificed this country and stolen our children''s future. Our lack of education on a national scale and our overwhelming tendency towards dishonesty has eaten this country from the inside out. Be certain that not one of these people in power has the least bit of concern for the people of The Bahamas. If we believe that either of our political parties have our best interests at heart and that anything will improve, we are supremely stupid. As KB says, we have a bunch of "Jokey Leaders". Can't see it? Exactly as they want it.
No surprises. All falls into place. A very large group of criminals runs this country and threatens anyone who wants justice. The media is dead. The editors are well known and family to many. Think they'll take any risks to expose the truth? They won't open their mouths. That things have gotten this bad is no surprise. This fish rots from the head down. After 50+ years, does anyone think much is left of the fish? This society is finished. We are eating ourselves alive. And most Bahamians are wholly ignorant about what is going on. Worse, the majority of our people couldn't give a shit. We just don't care.
Did you think that comment out, tetelestai? Workers should pay their fair share? Do you live in The Bahamas? No income tax. No corporate tax. No inheritance tax. No real tax on the wealthy, at all? But, the working people should pay for this government while the rich, pastors and politicians get off tax free. This is called regressive taxation. If Bahamians were educated, this wouldn't last....... Would it? Isn't it amazing that some people who own web shops are allowed to be rich, when ALL of that money made in web shops SHOULD go to the public coffer? Where are our educated and moral leaders? Not here, hey? Any person who believes a word that comes out of a politician's mouth, is a fool. Most especially, anyone who believes a person in this present administration, is a fool.
Quite right Mr. Davis, When you have an entire political apparatus, from the very top to the very bottom of the government of this nation, patently unable to tell the truth, the Freedom of information Act means nothing. Funny how words, when used by highly trained individuals, can be used to cloud, obfuscate, and turn topsy-turvy, the truth staring us in the face. Is this not the most perfect example of all?
Does Mr. Lundy's constituency in Mangrove Cay have an adequate hurricane shelter? No. Where will our politicians go in the next big storm? Don't worry, they'll be just fine. They have an unlimited travel budget, at taxpayers expanse.
