The government was wrong to rush through this new tax regime before the US had even voted on it. Multilateralism and globalism are dead. The Bahamas can finally regain its sovereignty.
The US has never liked China's presence in the Bahamas. The difference now is that Trump, unlike his predecessors, is going to do something about it. The fairy tale that Bahamians believe is that Trump, like his predecessors, will do nothing about it. As for "Musk is the new Putin", that is just too ridiculous to even try to answer.
Trump wants Latin America and the Caribbean to choose a side in the US vs China battle. Trump wants the rest of the continent to take an active stance against China. Mexico has already started by placing additional steel tariffs on China, and seizing Chinese products at ports that are being dumped at below-market prices. What will the Bahamas do?
This is the result of Biden's inflation. Americans complain just as much, which is why the Democrats suffered a historic defeat in the recent elections.
Of course, the Chinese won't get a fair trial in the US if even Trump and Biden's son can't get one. As a reminder, the US sees China as its main enemy on the global stage.
Hmmm, how would you qualify Biden? Despite his challenged mental abilities, he was able to initiate a record number of sanctions against other countries...
