2020 is turning out to be a strange year. Who would have thought that a tourist wedding on Harbour Island would create such a scandal. Anyway no need to worry anymore, Barbados announced that they will take all the tourists the Bahamas does not want anymore...
So for the perpetual Minnis critics, are you saying that Bahamians are too dumb to make a decision about their movements, and that the PM should make every decision as to where they can go and not go? You guys need to move to Cuba! Nobody going to Walmart on weekends over there.
Such a program would not be as attractive as in other jurisdictions, because of exchange control. Furthermore, these citizenship programs for cash have attracted bad publicity, which is not really what the Bahamas needs if we want to be removed from all these black lists.
