> He continued: “Many bad things have been said about me. One thing you will always remember they have said repeatedly that I have no charisma. I want to inform you tonight I looked up the definition of charisma. Charisma is the ability to attract someone to you. Tonight I want to inform you that I have been able to attract my wife to me for 40 odd years and she is still attracted to me.”
I think every right-thinking person knows that Minnis is a disaster. That does not excuse false reporting by the press in the country. This isn't the first planted story of course by the nation's press and certainly wont be the last - and that's the national problem that extends far beyond personal feelings, however legit they may be, about an individual.
The Tribune needs to learn its lesson from this. The Guardian as well. Stop running planted stories and do your job as journalists. It was only a matter of time before this sort of thing would blow up in the media's face. Do your jobs and this is far less likely to be the outcome.
This country is finished. If you read what this acting head of our military said and you don't get that this country is finished, it is probably because your appreciation for where we are at never began so as to ever be in a position to be finished as well.
Alas, here are the choices for the upcoming election - picking party led by the deranged devil you know or picking the party led by the neurotic, paltry neophyte you don't. Happy voting Bahamas.
These FNMs keep coming to us through the media to convince us we ought not vote for them. We get it guys, believe me we get it! This person says the donors are upset at these matters which have become public. **Then why do you keep making it public if you care so much about the donors and their feelings?**
Then Symonette says: >People aren’t often that willing to give to a party, especially one that is not in power. And I am sure the infighting all over the place hasn’t helped.
No sir, say what you really mean - because donors give to opposition parties or persons all the time in order to get them where they wish to see them. If these donors were interested in seeing the PLP out of office, why would they not want to support the party they claim is theirs and that they claim is the answer for the country? It must then mean the donors do not see how they would personally benefit from supporting their party. And if that's the case simply say that instead of insulting our sensibilities.
