At least the Bay Street Boys are Bahamians....

> The national debt in and of itself was not a challenge in a society if people could see where the money is going and what the money is being used for.

What a scandalous statement. The national debt is not a challenge in a society such as The Bahamas? Whether we see all of your overspending or not, it is happening, and it absolutely is an absolute challenge for the nation. The size of the public service alone is what accounts for the single largest block of personal public expenditure, something no government in recent times has had the political will and the national interest enough to address. Beyond that, for Ingraham, in an attempt to justify his own government's spending, to say that the national debt is not a challenge once the government tells you a few things about what it is doing with the money is astounding. So if my wife goes out and takes out a loan to buy this and that, and she shows me everything she bought, but I cannot service the size of the loan she took out, I don't have a challenge since I atleast know what she has sunken us in debt buying? Insanity!

It is arrogant to assume we know God or God's ways. It is also arrogant to assume that because you do not agree with something, God does not agree with it either. I hold no brief for any of these leading politicians, all of whom I consider a waste of a vote, but who am I or anyone else to chastise what a person believes God has said to them? Would this article have been written if the man endorsed Minnis or Brent Symonette, for the same stated reasons? Most probably not.

Same thing I wondered.

Countdown to Rollins' rant in response

Not correct.

> Trust the voters go into the coming election with eyes wide open.

And since everyone in Parliament voted yes to this at the time...

Indeed. We shant see it. If not blame, responsibility for not exercising more control over their groups.

This man is certifiable. Wasn't he just positing an Olympic swim through his vomit to get back into the FNM the other day? Now he is back to this after trying to beg Minnis for another chance behind the scenes? What he says about Minnis is true, but that is precisely the problem. His actions with respect to his on again, off again support of Minnis show his total lack of principles and ethics. It is why elements outside of Parliament find it so easy to use him to accomplish fruitless and futile efforts.

Again, you are seeking to argue a portion of events without knowing what happened prior to the portion you saw. But whether what you saw was the beginning, middle or the end, are we more interested in picking sides or wanting all sides to control their people? Both PLPs and FNMs were arguing and carrying on with one another and again, we do not know whether the start of that video was the start of the matter, or a continuation of it that was captured at a certain point therein. I also realize that when it comes to politics, we see what we want to see, even when or whether or not the full story is in front of us. Leaders must be above this sort of "who shot Johnny" banter and deal with this matter in the context of what it can become. But that is clearly asking too much of them. Minnis lied to the media when he said the FNMs simply ignored and said nothing. He lied because he was right there and did nothing to pull his crew in, and now he wants to distance himself from the entire thing and absolve himself of any responsibility for what happened or what could have happened. The PLPs were chanting at them at one point and there were back and forths. Okay, so then you tell you crew to move on or move your crew entirely. That ultimately did not happen. You are their leader. You are supposed to be the sounder one of the two. If you truly are better than them, then do what they will not do. Act in a higher manner than they are acting. To eliminate problems, simply take control of your side and let the PLPs argue with themselves since no one would be left to argue with. But what does he do later? Lie about the events. Then Halkitis comes in later and it becomes a blame game. This is why things cannot get any better.
