> Mr Munroe said: “The most striking position here is he should be removed for the simple fact of speaking publicly about his judicial function. If a judge or a magistrate did such a thing he or she would be promptly removed.

Yet, he does not see why attention is brought on a member of the Executive who admitted to contacting that official with respect to his judicial function in this matter. As often, Munroe is full of ....

The copy of V Alfred's letter confirms exactly what I said earlier. The media ought to stop suggesting that Gray resigned from anything or has been relieved of anything by way of substantive Ministerial portfolio. Nothing has changed for Gray except that he is getting the same pay with the same seat in Cabinet, just with less work now.

> The one part of Baha Mar’s statement that does not quite ‘ring true’ is the suggestion that is was relying on the contractor’s assurances as late as last Friday, despite the fact that everyone passing the project could see it was not going to be ready for March 27.

Exactly. And look at Baha Mar's website for the hotel that was supposed to open Friday. One placeholder image is still featured as the image for ALL rooms. If the hotel was finished and the rooms ready, why are the images for each of the rooms not uploaded? Such images are produced long before a resort's opening.

How the hell can a Minister now under police investigation as ordered by the attorney general, still be a sitting member of the Cabinet?? His substantive post is Agriculture and Fisheries. Local Government was just a portfolio given to him as an additional job function. He is still a Cabinet Minister and hence has not resigned or been fired from anything.

This thing is going to turn into a huge embarrassment; you can already tell. Why not wait until you are able to provide the full experience in at least one of the hotels before opening to the public? "Core amenities" basically means food, water and the toilets. You don't get a second chance to make a first impression. With Atlantis being the country's flagship resort, why open this hotel just for opening sake, if it is not going to be ready to blow the minds of the visitors? For politics? That's why this rushed opening is happening? So that the government can have something to brag about now that it is in campaigning mode?

Why ask people if they think that an action is supposed to receive its corresponding consequence or not? That's like asking people if they think a person should be prosecuted for the crime they commit. In our system of government, misleading Parliament is supposed to lead to either the resignation or termination of a Minister. If that does not happen, the system of government is being violated. Educate people on what is supposed to happen.

These means they are way behind their projected VAT intake for the remainder of fiscal year 2014/2015, as that projection was nonsense in fact. Which means we will be downgraded - again.

No such thing as a quiet revolution. Change is not silent or obscure, nor can it happen without sacrifices and casualties of some kind, be it life, comfort, status, positions, etc.

What is exactly is Pintard's actual point of contention? Wasn't their initial view that we don't need an international act to headline a Bahamian festival? If his point is that the government can't do anything right then yes, that's clearly true. But otherwise, what he should be concerned about is whether $9million will actually be spent and on what, since there will be no headliner pulling the $2million they claimed they were wanting to pay Janet Jackson.
