Erin Greene is full of you-know-what. While I was not at all impressed with the quality of Munroe's press release from a purely academic and literary standpoint, she is being just as illogical as he was in some of the arguments he made. No true Christian is going to read Myles' press release and decide they need to go out and harm or kill gay people because that is God's will. We are not under Sharia Law, nor are we radical fundamentalists about essentially anything in this country. The biggest so-called Christian in this country does not faithfully abide by the most fundamental of commandments. The conclusion she draws from what she perceives as Munroe's influence is by and large, a fallacy.
Your argument regarding happiness indices is fallacious. Those global indices are rated on a broad category of factors. It is fallacious to assert that the happiness ratings of those indices are directly correlated to gay rights.
So when did Greene figure this out, when this has been the case from the very beginning? Opportunist is what she is. First she tried to shoot down discussions on this issue in tandem with the citizenship issues for Bahamian men and women and now she has switched her focus. Yes the laws discriminate, and the Constitution gives the government the full authority to do just that - make many laws including marriage laws, discriminatory, if the government wants to do so. But going into this now, only further muddies the referendum matter and she knows it.
Christie is bluffing as usual, but Branville is a funny guy, because if Christie were not bluffing, it is hilarious if Branville thinks the person who supposedly told him this information is going to stand in a court of law and repeat the allegation on his behalf! Branville has no proof of anything, he simply repeated something he was told.
Nowhere in this story does it explain to readers the purpose of statutory boards and how relevant government corporations cannot legally conduct affairs in the absence of duly constituted boards. That is what the public needs to understand so they understand why this matters. If you are not going to educate readers, what is the point apart from sensationalism and headline journalism?
