Exactly - his assets, liabilities and income both in and out of The Bahamas are not private to him anymore, and must be disclosed by law. If he doesn't want the public to know that information, resign from Parliament and then his privacy in that regard can be returned to him.
***“I’ve been pretty adamant that I don’t really have anything to disclose..."*** Does this lady know what she is supposed to disclose under the Public Disclosure Act? They all are supposed to declare their income, assets and liabilities whether in or outside of the country (as well as that of their spouse and lawful dependents) by December 31 of each year, not March as this story has said. March is the extension of time they can give you, but the due date in law is December 31. Is she saying she has no income, assets or liabilities? Obviously that is absurd, as is her statement that she doesn't have these things to disclose.
The government does not intend to raise minimum wage - that statement was pure politics by Shane Gibson who is gearing up for their Party's convention.
I know what he was when the government owned and operated BTC. CWC now operates BTC. If they want to have someone corrupt on contract on their team for a year that is their problem. Remember, Leon Williams does not run BTC, Cable and Wireless does.
Who cares? The guy is a CEO **on contract** for 12 months. meaning this is a "give these Bahamian government clowns this carrot so they can get out of our hair." Moving on to important matters in the country. This is yet another distraction tactic by the government and true to form, leaders in the FNM are chasing behind this distraction instead of staying focused on the issues that matter to us all
Quite true, I saw the story on her blog as well, that is how I and many others came to find out about this because no one else had said anything. She published this last Sunday.
