The Tribune is ridiculous and trite. Hubert Ingraham can speak for himself, no? Why does the Tribune keep running to Frank Watson for what is going on with the former prime minister? If the Tribune as a newspaper wants to know that, they can certainly ask him since their publisher communicates with him often. We never seem to tire of the tiresome games in this country constantly publishing what this man truly cannot speak to, while being very dubious about what he could speak to fully - BEC under his watch! But getting back to the story, the only person who could make a headline like this credible is the person named in that headline. Otherwise the Tribune is one again with the agenda pushing.

Right!

@sheep And if he was a PLP, your opinion would be different. That's is what is wrong with so many Bahamians, no true moral or ethical compass. Something is only wrong if it is done by someone we do not like or support. But if we like the person, that very same thing is okay.

Publius says...

@sheep Are you serious? A convicted felon, convicted on ammunitions charges in a country with an astronomically high murder rate where illegal firearms are the principal weapon of choice? My word, the low standards we have in this country!

Publius says...

What a hypocrite. This man is constantly speaking publicly on issues within his party and repeatedly bemoans Minnis and Minnis performance both as Leader of Opposition and as Party Leader. He constantly uses his Facebook page to do this, angling for newspaper headlines therefrom. And even with his public posts still public, he is now preaching against making things public. It is true that all of them have demonstrated a lack of discipline with respect to confidential party matters. What is also true is that in the midst of that, some of them are still trying cheap attempts to appear better at being undisciplined than the others.

Publius says...

He was elected Leader of the Opposition in Parliament by the members of Parliament, not by his party. Bahamians **please** read your Constitution and understand how your country and government system function.

Publius says...

Exactly. There is nothing at all undemocratic about what those MPs are doing. It is not only democratic, but also Constitutional. But Branville is already declaring that any dissent he encounters he plans to get rid of. And he is the man who is putting himself forward as being different from everyone else. This country sinks deeper and deeper with every coming day. All of these men are chasing the legacies and tactics of despot leaders in the region who do any and everything to hold onto power at all costs.

Publius says...

He was **opted into** that post in a person's home. Present were a few other individuals. He was not elected. Do you really want that story put out there too, Mr "justthefactsplease"? I actually think the country deserves to know the true genesis of the DNA and its funding. Then we can really decide who represents actual change and who doesn't.

Publius says...

The fact that he is not elected to the post of leader is all the evidence needed that he is a dictator. He never needs to say a word to confirm that.

Publius says...

Indeed. Branville's good fortune is that the FNM never told the country what he was really up to in Cabinet prior to his decision to resign. He is still making it on the back of the failure to disclose that information and hence seeking to preach to the country about what a stellar alternative he would be.
