This is a legally unsound argument put forward by Mr. McQweeny. But what does it matter. Whether it is sound or not, nothing about the way many Bahamians see each individual Bill even comes close to resembling sound thought.

Let the FNM candidates tell you what they are getting when they go door to door in this country. Let them tell you what just about every home whose door they knock on is saying. Many of the candidates are heavily depressed because they can see what is coming down the pike for the FNM. They know the election will spell disaster at the rate their party is going. And many of them are to blame for helping to prop up a man the overwhelming majority of their would-be constituents are saying needs to go. The FNM is notorious for ignoring the voices of the voters in furtherance of their own make-believe ideas about what the voters want or need. The PLP on the other hand hears the voices - and then proceeds to buy off the voices so as to change their opinion. Either way, these parties are not putting the nation and its needs above all else. The FNM is going to need to change its symbol from a Torch to a Toilet at this rate.

Probably the same way as before - in a corrupt fashion!

On July date possible for FNM convention

> “No one is trying to get rid of Dr Minnis - maybe Dr Minnis may need a new mandate, maybe we need to regroup. We need to look at how we are going to make this party stronger. If Dr Minnis goes into the convention and prevails then maybe he should surround himself with those who he feels can make him stronger because he hasn’t been able to unify the party thus far. At the last convention they said it was me. I ran, I lost and I moved out of the way but the party still hasn’t gotten to the point where we are gaining traction.”

At this late stage these MPs are still coming to the public with a bunch of BS statements. Of course they want to get rid of him. The voters do not want or believe in him so he should go. So stop lying to the public at this stage as if we all are stupid. Many of us are, but not all of us. You guys have said what the problem is, now either tell the nation what the solution is to be or shut up and sit down entirely. Obviously Minnis has proven to be unwilling to surround himself with anyone other than functional illiterates and barnacles clinging to the ship of life. So quit with the "maybe he needs to surround himself with people..." and tell the nation what your party is going to do to make it atleast somewhat battle ready to face the PLP. Not hypotheticals or maybes or idealistic fantasies - facts - what is the FNM going to do for certain? The General Election is pretty much tomorrow.

> “What made me feel so good, when I watched TV yesterday,” Dr Minnis said referring to the US presidential race, “I was watching (Bill) O’ Reilly interview (Donald) Trump and he said to Trump, you don’t have the black support, how are you going to turn that around and the economy is not doing well?’ “Trump’s response was this has been the worst period (economically) for the blacks even with a black president and to stimulate and help the middle class I will introduce tax free zones.” Dr Minnis said this showed him he was on the right path because introducing tax free zones in the Over-the-Hill area is one of his key ideas.

This man has got to be one of if not the stupidest of men in the history of Bahamian politics. This comment is so smolderingly stupid on so many levels that it ought to have caused the Tribune's printing presses to malfunction. This country is going nowhere fast and the FNM has already won one race - the race to be a stellar ambassador of the D average.

There is no wonder why educated and aspiring people in this country no longer want to be here. The Bahamas is absolutely beyond nauseating at this stage. Newspapers ought to now come with a black label "will induce immediate projectile vomiting" based on some of the realities of this country that make it into those papers and the subhumans behind those realities. None of these men are even remotely concerned about what the Bahamian people want or need. Their singular concern is themselves and their delusions and unbridled ambitions. It is "I"; "I"; "I", and when "we" is used, it is subterfuge for what is really meant, which is again and forever - "I".

> Dr. Minnis has enough "vision" to address systemic corruption..That's what we need most!

Getting government contracts under the table from two of the most scandalous government ministers as inducements to FNM council members in order to maintain his position is an example of vision to address systemic corruption? The answer is absolutely not. And that's just one of many examples that can be cited about how "anti corruption" this man is.

Meanwhile, Crooked Island remains a disaster area, there has been no official update on restoration efforts to date, and relief supplies donated to NEMA last year are still in their possession and/or have gone to persons on islands for which they were not designated - yet NEMA is admonishing *us* about hurricane readiness.
