Very simple. he casinos don't want any Bahamians in there because how they carry on. What is happening is an apartheid. Meanwhile back at the farm the numbers bosses don't want to be regulated and there never will be any legalization of numbers.
Commies. It is not the government's job to provide people with jobs, food, shelter and internet. The government's job is to get the fuck out of the way so that the private sector can provide those.
There will never be any legalization of the numbers businesses. It is not in their interest so that bought and paid for government will never ever lay a hand on them or regulate them.
Wow. A few observations. 1, It is not in the webshops' interest to be taxed and regulated. Their interest is the status quo. 2, There is no way for the government to know how much webshops make. Everything is in computers and servers offshore and easily hidden by running parallel systems. One for the gov to see and one for the bosses to see. 3, How about to just shut them down as decided in the referendum?
The Bahamas is a very nice corrupt country. My beef is not with the lack of regulation, it is with the pretense these professional liars put up.
This reminds me of Black Adder when he says Sir Whoever brutally cut his head off while shaving. I guess there will be only 40 murders but suicides and accidents will skyrocket in the Bahamas. Government propaganda in its purest form.
