None other than our State Minister for Legal Affairs, Damian Gomez aka the Minion, states to the Tribune: "We're moving forward to secure a liquidator,....once that's done it's in his {Sarkis Izmirlian} interest to strike a deal as soon as possible otherwise creditors will take over and the restructuring will not be to his liking." This is tantamount to a public admission that by filing an application for the liquidation of Baha Mar, the Christie-led PLP government is seeking to force Baha Mar and the Izmirlian family to accept whatever unfair terms are put to them by both the Chinese general contractor (CCA) and the Chinese Export Import Bank. In a liquidation supervised by the Supreme Court of The Bahamas, the shots are called by the largest admitted creditors which would be the two aforementioned Chinese stakeholders. In other words, notwithstanding the appointment of one or more "neutral" liquidators acceptable to the largest creditors, the Chinese stakeholders would be, for all intents and purposes, firmly in the driving seat of the entire liquidation process. This seems to be precisely what the Christie-led PLP government wants to happen notwithstanding that Baha Mar (and the Izmirlian family through Baha Mar) have already found it necessary to seek Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in Delaware as a result of the severity of its grievances with the Chinese stakeholders, which grievances are the subject of very weighty legal claims that have already been asserted and are now before the High Court in the U.K. By all appearances, our Christie-led PLP government is wrongfully in bed with the Chinese stakeholders to unjustly wrest control and possession of the Baha Mar project away from the rightful principle developer of the project (Sarkis Izmirlian). It would be a travesty of monumental proportion for the Bahamas and the Bahamian people if the Delaware court (judge) permitted the Christie-led PLP government to effectively nationalize the Baha Mar property for the benefit of the Chinese stakeholders by abuse of due process. The Christie-led PLP government is notorious for its willingness to wrongfully "lean" on matters before our Supreme Court in an effort to affect a desired outcome.

Two of those you mention, Tal and Birdie, certainly have that common flavour associated with intentional spreaders of misinformation and disinformation designed to distract and confuse. Tal has the added credential of being an addicted internet troller......you can always tell the type! You're probably right in saying their comments should just be ignored as they typically add little if anything to the more important conversation on any subject. They could try conceal their modus operandi by changing their usernames, but most users would quickly figure out who they are because, if it quacks like a duck, it probably is a duck.

Christie looks like a stuffed pimento olive in the photo to this Tribune article.

Tal, how much is Mitchell at BahamasUncircumcised.com paying you for all of this disinformation time you put in on The Tribune website?

Suing our government may now be a legal necessity for Baha Mar as a result of Christie and Maynard-Gibson's petulance and vindictiveness. These two evil, greedy demons and their cohorts are hell-bent on destroying our country if we (the Bahamian people) are foolish enough to sit back and allow them to do so.

Not to mention what it has cost a foreign investor like Sarkis Izmirlian trying to do good by most Bahamians as well as his family name. Poor guy just naively or foolishly believed the Bahamian government would have his back as the principal developer behind the largest single phase FDI project ever undertaken in the Bahamas. But low and behold, the Christie-led PLP government ends up being rightfully forced to show that it is wrongfully beholden to the Chinese general contractor (CCA) and Chinese lender (CEXIMB) involved with the Baha Mar project. And most of us Bahamians with an inkling of knowledge about the inner workings of the Christie-led PLP government sadly understand why the likes of Christie, Maynard-Gibson, Gomez, Davies and Wilchcombe have sided with CCA and CEXIMB against Baha Mar and the Bahamian people.

More of our VAT dollars being flushed down the toilet in a desperate effort by Christie to try keep or buy new PLP voters rather than pay down our national debt as promised!

If delusional Christie, hissy tissy Maynard-Gibson and minion Gomez are fool enough to do as you say here, then the Bahamian people can be rest assured that no other significant foreign investors (other than the Chinese government) will ever invest in our economy. Foreign investors already here (except the Chinese) would also accelerate the selling-off of their hard property assets in order to make a clean exit from our shores as quickly as possible. Also, the Izmirlian family, through Baha Mar, would likely be justified in asserting very substantial legal claims (in foreign courts) against the Bahamian government for the added losses that would be incurred as a result of the vindictive conduct of Christie, Maynard-Gibson and Gomez. Any claims the foreign courts might award Baha Mar (the Irzmirlian family) against the Bahamian government would amount to mega-millions of dollars and would have to somehow be paid out of the hides of honest, hardworking and already over-taxed Bahamians.

You have hit on the very reason why government officials today are much more inclined to succumb to the temptation of taking bribes, even from well known organized crime figures in a society. Most of our elected and appointed government officials truly believe that their ascension to public office entitles them to surreptitiously sell the influence they hold by virtue of their public office to the highest bidder that comes along wanting a "special favour". Just ask yourself: Why did Christie, Maynard-Gibson, Wilchcombe and the little pudgy fella with the short stubby grubby dirty sticky fingers choose to try and 'legalize' the illegal activities of the gaming web shops rather than enforce the existing laws and shut them all down? There was obviously a quid pro quo element here which wreaks of corruption! Now ask yourself: Why was our government so eager to take the side of the Chinese enterprises involved in the Baha Mar project over the principal developer? We can only take comfort for the moment in knowing that the NSA in the U.S. has no doubt followed the significant sums of tainted funds connected to the Baha Mar project.

You can be sure of one thing. Hissy tissy insolent Maynard-Gibson is all for the Bahamian government trying to expropriate the Baha Mar property no matter what the consequences may be for the Bahamian people. Chavez would be most proud of her!
