Every current and past parliamentarian under both the FNM and PLP governments know about this long standing fraud perpetrated against hard working Bahamians but have done nothing for fear of their party (whether it be PLP or FNM) losing votes come election time. The Bahamian people need to rise up and tell their elected representatives enough is enough….tell them no new taxes of any kind until all existing forms of ongoing fraudulent (Vote Buying) activities are ceased and the illegal numbers shops are closed!

Absolutely astonishing that the Government is calling on BOB to incur expansionary costs in these most difficult times, but does not see BOB as an acceptable credit risk or service provider from the standpoint of transferring highly profitable Government business to BOB. If The fact that Government now has 65% ownership of BOB, but does not see fit to patronize this financial institution with much more of its highly profitable business begs a lot of questions. The foreign banks like RBC continue to receive the lion's share of Government's more profitable business as they have done for decades, and one must ask why?! Could it be that BOB is just too small and risky (politically dominated) to warrant/attract more Government business?

The new Chairman of this bank (Richard Demeritte) should be shown the door, but instead will probably be rewarded for over-riding the Bank's well established credit risk management policies and procedures.

PGC's initial appointment and continued support of Miller is nothing but sad commentary on our times. The rift today between the PLP and the unions falls squarely on the shoulders of Mr. Vomit himself!

Truth be told, the FNM with Minnis as its face is fast waning and will soon have no future in Bahamian politics. Many believe he has much too great a difficulty in restraining the traits of meaness and rage that he suffers from. Voters are not inclined to endear themselves to a known self-destructive ticking time bomb whose short fuse could go off at any moment with very unpredictable negative consequences for all those who happen to be around him when his wheels come off.

On Minnis will not pay bill for reception

The U.S. government's dislike of Freddie Boy is now such that they may never appoint another U.S. Ambassador to the Bahamas until the PLP puts an end to his despicable career in politics.

On Almost two years and no US ambassador?

Agencies of U.S. government (i.e., IMF, WTO et al.) all tell PLP and FNM governments alike the Bahamas must borrow heavily during bad economic times (i.e., highly inefficient government economic activity must step in when much more efficient private economic activity declines), then these same agencies tell the Bahamas government that the Bahamas taxation system must be changed from customs duties to VAT asap (no matter how disruptive and damaging to the economy), and then, finally, these very same agencies come along and down grade the economic health of the Bahamas so that it finds itself having to pay higher amounts of interest on increasing amounts of foreign currency denominated debt when it can least afford to do so, and so the financial health of the Bahamas continues to spiral downwards, almost out of control, as the U.S. desires and considers to be in its own economic and national security interests..... Bahamians are really too stupid to have a well managed sovereign nation....they ask (deserve ?) to be stomped on by foreign interests! Ryan Pinder and his operatives are doing well in carrying out the mission / objectives of the U.S. when it come to the economic demise of the Bahamas.
