Fred Smith seems only too willing to invite all of Haiti to come to the Bahamas. And "Yes" Fred Smith is of Haitian heritage and has always preferred to advocate for their interests as a people over and above our sovereign and national security interests as Bahamians.

Minnis allowed Symonette to get elected in a safe constituency for one reason only - he needed a white man of considerable wealth who could open doors for him in certain places that would otherwise not be opened.

Minnis promised during his election campaign that necessary investigations would be undertaken given all of the incriminating information already in the public domain and that his government would let all of the chips fall where they may. We the people have every intention of holding Minnis to this promise for the sake of the future of our country. The culture of corruption within our governments and the civil service work force must end or we will be the next failed state!

The previous corrupt Christie-led PLP government ran a submarine cable all the way to a coal-fired power plant on mainland China but the cable was defective (made in Red China) and therefore has yet to produce a single kilowatt of power for our use.

Legalizing the current illegal Haitian children only serves to embolden our existing illegal Haitians to have more children born here in the Bahamas and also encourages even more illegal Haitians to come our way from Haiti. We need to introduce policies that would force Haiti to take back all of the existing illegal Haitians including those born here. Even the U.S. and Canada do not grant economic refugee and/or asylum status to Haitians fleeing Haiti....so why in the hell are we permitting illegal Haitian children born in the Bahamas to apply for Bahamian citizenship at age 18! "No", we are not inhumane or un-Christian-like - we are instead absolutely nuts!!! No other right-minded country would so foolishly sacrifice the way of life of its own indigenous people, its own national sovereignty and the national security interests.

The last proper census count of our population nearly a decade ago (2010) was just over 350,000. The population estimate for 2016 was just below 400,000. But just about anyone who has spent any significant time in the Bahamas knows that these figures are grossly understated.
