@Cobalt: I have been a close follower of Mudda's comments for quite sometime and suspect you are wrong in labelling him as you have done here. Like so many of us these days, Mudda seems to be a frustrated Bahamian who is very concerned about the future of our country. Both his more insightful comments and his more angry observations typically cut across political party lines. He seems to be an 'equal opportunity' critic and cynic. In other words, he appears only too willing to throw a stone to make his point without care about the political persuasion of who it hits. Perhaps he's still an undecided voter, assuming he's Bahamian and has registered to vote.
Unfortunately Christie is absolutely right on this one. But not only does Minnis have no clue about governance, he's also incapable of attracting the talent he would so desperately need to compensate for his glaring shortcomings.
Re-post: I hope there is no truth to this, but some are saying Minnis was overheard saying something along the following lines:
> "No government can operate without > money and/or the ability to borrow. > Therefore if, as I suspect, an > incoming FNM government finds that the > outgoing PLP government has left the > cupboard bare so to speak, then the > new FNM government may have no choice > but to raise taxes in the short-term, > perhaps by increasing the VAT rate."
If Minnis did say anything at all similar to this, then he's got to have more than a few loose screws in his head!

Voters should be much more concerned about Minnis failing to acknowledge that while he was Minister of Health he should never have allowed the Public Hospital Authority (PHA) to sign an undisclosed long term lease on a building in which he has a significant ownership interest. Minnis, through a personal company he owns, has collected thousands of dollars of rental income each month from this previously undisclosed lease arrangement which by every definition and by all accounts was a most flagrant and blatant conflict of interest on his part. It is indeed most alarming that Minnis seems to justify his conflict of interest by pointing to the many conflicts of interest our attorney general and her family members have with Baha Mar involving leases of prime retail space. This apparent "tit for tat" mentality that Minnis has, i.e. "yes I did wrong, but you did more wrong than me", shows a serious character flaw that would not augur well for our country if he ever became PM.
This 'professor' seems to be begging for $100,000 to be given to him upfront along with a lucrative government contract for him to monitor the dump fire smoke levels over the next 10 years. I suspect he's somehow related to one of our corrupt cabinet ministers.
