Insurers are the worst.....they prey on your fear to pick your pocket and lobby government to impose insurance requirements where none should exist. They are useless, ruthless and greedy intermediaries, wedging themselves between patients and their healthcare providers, and also their governments which should be providing essential health services on a universal basis as a fundamental right and entitlement for everyone. The operating costs and profits of insurers, especially healthcare insurers, represent funds and other resources stolen from the people that could be much better deployed in providing actual health services to all those in need.

Sure Deddie...the unemployed must know that the Christie-led PLP government is more than willing to hire D- educated teachers to teach our children and D- educated nurses to treat our ailments! The unemployed were first betrayed by Christie (and Ingraham) in the public education system, which denied them the most basic of skills, and then betrayed by Christie (and Ingraham) a second time by being denied available jobs. Just unbelievable that a black government could inflict so much misery on the Bahamian people who do not enjoy the ill-gotten gains of the select few that Christie (and Ingraham) decided to favour for their own selfish greedy benefit. Yup, hope for the poor unemployed souls in our country has been replaced by outright despair thanks to Christie (and Ingraham) and their corrupt greedy political friends and business cronies.

Peter Turnquest would be able to run circles around Christie in the run up to the next general election if made leader of the opposition by the FNM. Minnis is history in the minds of most Bahamian voters who will not vote for him no matter what.....even it it means Christie being re-elected with a majority of PLP seats in the HOA for another 5 years. For starters, 19 out of 20 white Bahamian voters will never ever vote for an FNM candidate with Minnis as the leader of the FNM and most white Bahamians do vote.

Reality_Check says...

Chippy and Lightbourn, like most Bahamian voters, are just fed up with the ineffectiveness, incompetence and dishonesty of Minnis. And Christie is all smiles about the FNM party's refusal to throw their number one political liability, Minnis, overboard!

Brad would be the first one put behind bars if the PLP were truly serious about crime!

Meanwhile BEC allowed Baha Mar to run up a $26,000,000 electricity bill which may not ever get paid; in the same way Christie allowed his law firm's hotelier client Ruffin to sell off his hotel assets in the Bahamas years ago without paying his $9,500,000 electricity bill owing to BEC. Bahamians will never see the much lower light bills they should be paying because of all of the conflicts of interest that exist within the corrupt Christie-led PLP government!

The loans of the 13 borrowers totalling $100,000,000 that were transferred from Bank of The Bahamas (BOB) to the Bahamian company named Bahamas Resolve are not subject to bank secrecy and should have long ago been disclosed to all of the hardworking honest Bahamian taxpayers who were forced by Christie to bailout BOB as a result of these loans having been defaulted on by his political friends and business cronies. No doubt James Smith will make sure that any security held for these bad loans ends up being acquired by other political friends and business cronies of Christie at rock bottom bargain basement prices! James Smith has never been able to muster up the courage or strength necessary to draw a line in the sand when it comes to doing whatever dirty work Christie asks of him. Spineless Smith has always been a facilitator or enabler of the corrupt activities of the Christie-led PLP government.

Neither Baha Mar, China Construction Company of America nor China Export Import Bank are willing to issue the same type of guarantee with equity sweetener that they all now seek to obtain from the Bahamian people, and with good reason. Such an arrangement would only serve to transfer on to the backs of the Bahamian people losses that should be incurred by them down the road. Our National Debt already stands at more than $6.3 billion and that's without the significant additional debt we will need to take on in the near term for many more pressing things like getting BEC sorted out. You are absolutely right Well-mudda; only a foolish Bahamian government would take a bite out of this big rotten apple on terms that no one else involved with the project is willing to do!

Just wear your free PLP T-shirt and eat your free ham or turkey come general election time and in the meantime keep your trap shut unless you want a free 60 inch flat screen TV and new Ford Escape or BMW too!

The tit for tat syndrome whereby two wrongs make a right is the very same reason why the FNM and DNA have not vigorously pursued the corrupt Christie-led PLP government for all of the conflicts of interest and other wrong doings at the Bank of The Bahamas, involving Christie's greedy and dishonest political friends and business cronies, that have cost honest hard working Bahamian taxpayers mega millions of dollars in recent years!
