The imposition of VAT by the corrupt Christie-led PLP government was done under the pretense that it would be used in a way that would result in our national debt and debt-to-GDP ratio being reduced. People like those outspoken fellas Gowan Bowe and John Rolle swallowed this deception hook line and sinker and threw their very misguided support behind the Christie spendthrift government imposing a most burdensome VAT on all honest hardworking already-overtaxed Bahamians. We can be rest assured that additional Christie-imposed back-breaking taxes levied on Bahamians for healthcare will be spent on any and everything but healthcare for Bahamians!

Re-post: Fred Mitchell's head has never been screwed on straight and he has always been most uncomfortable in his own skin. Fred's efforts to re-write history to his liking are well known to all who know him for what he really is: An imbecilic pseudo-intellect! Lest we forget, Fred Mitchell in the late 1980s, while head of his newly formed political party, "The People’s Democratic Force", burned a copy of the Bahamas Constitution. According to The Tribune reporting of this event, "The bold protest was held at Mr Mitchell’s favourite watering hole for launching his protests — the fig tree in front of the Supreme Court building in Parliament Square. About 100 curiosity seekers gathered to watch the spectacle." The Tribune article went on to quote the following declaration by Mr. Mitchell at the time he burned The Bahamas Constitution: "So this afternoon, we send a message to the man most directly responsible for this state in our country, Sir Lynden Pindling, because as Prime Minister he is responsible for appointing the Chief Justice. We burn this constitution to light a fire for freedom. We will present to the Prime Minister the ashes of this constitution, as a reminder of how our country is being destroyed.” Fred would have us all believe that foreigners previously welcomed and living in our country for many years have no rights under The Bahamas Constitution. Christie should never have appointed this perpetually angry tootie-fruity tart to the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs. There has never been, and likely never will be, an individual more ill-suited for that position than Freddy Boy!

The Wicked Witch also refers to Christie as "My Prime Minister"! It's as if she's never heard of the pronoun "Our". But then again, she's been brown-nosing Christie a whole lot lately in the hope that he allows her family to recover their millions of dollars in losses from investments made in annuities issued by (or through) CLICO Bahamas by establishing a bail out fund using the tax dollars of honest hardworking Bahamians. Maynard-Gibson is as greedy and evil as they come!

And Christie by his silence has endorsed everything said by Mitchell and Gibson! Without a shadow of doubt, Christie has much to hide from the public eye as this can be the only possible explanation for his own abhorrent behaviour. Fear of something being uncovered that you know you should not have done will always create irrational behaviour born out of an acute sense of desperation.

The gravity of Fred Mitchell's misconduct here as Minister of Foreign Affairs cannot be overstated; the above photo and his remarks were spread all of the world in an instant via internet. The Bahamas will now be officially considered a politically unstable country...a lawless country run by a few despots who think they themselves and their political friends and business cronies are entitled to take whatever they want and be held in high regard no matter what! As I write this, I can hear the great swooshing sound in the air of foreign wealth very quickly leaving our financial institutions, permanent and temporary residents making arrangements to live elsewhere and foreign investors pulling the plug on whatever they can as fast as they can. Many of us knew this day of reckoning would come sooner rather than later absent mass political unrest, but, for whatever reason, we just stuck our heads in the sand and refused to do anything about it. The smart money of the wealthiest Bahamian families headed for the hills shortly before the outcome of the 2012 general election. A real blood bath of civil unrest is about to begin and there will be no foreigners or foreign countries coming to our aid. Bahamians will sadly come to reap what they allowed to be sown by corrupt politicians. We have a national crisis of magnitude never before experienced that has been caused, not by the Izmirlian family, but, by the Christie-led PLP government's own very dangerous and greedy quid pro quo relationship with red China. Christie has shamefully refused to dissolve parliament notwithstanding the overwhelming public sentiment of distrust in his government that now borders on outright hatred of himself and his political friends and business cronies. your time has gone christie.....do the only right thing you can while you still can......put pressure on cca, the chinese general contractor of baha mar, and then call for a snap election!

This is precisely how Allyson Maynard-Gibson behaves when she has one of her hissy-tissie "Baha Mar" moments during private meetings with Christie, Gomez and the pudgy fella with the short stubby grubby dirty sticky fingers. The Wicked Witch knows better than Freddy Boy though that she must at least try to wear a very different face in public. I hope she's sore from riding her broom because we can't afford anymore of her lavish trips to China at the honest, hardworking taxpayers' expense!
