The PM must be relying solely on the US to send tourists to keep the nation's economy going and growing. China's economy is having serious issues which have set off a negative trend in the markets. Canada is in recession and warning their people to avoid The Bahamas. The EU is teetering on disaster. Given The Bahamas is publicly rowing with its largest investor and stating future investors should be psycho-analyzed, I would imagine Cuba is looking pretty interesting to US investors more and more. I guess the PM knows something that the ratings agencies and the rest of us do not.
You have a point there Oracle. The Watson's loyalty was certainly rewarded by the estate of Bobby Symonette essentially letting them take control of AID.
As to the above response. I have read on many occasions your diatribe. It is obvious you do not understand what you read. Both political parties change up on contracts. What is interesting about this situation is the woman states how long the contract was in place. If we accept her knowledge, then there is a reason for change. As I stated prior, and if I have to put it more plainly to you.....follow the money!
I would imagine if there is a serious cook out, she will relocate. As to your submission issue of a 40 year contract, obviously the PLP had kept contract in place during their terms. Perhaps it may have something to do with cost. Mind you, let us not forget which Long Islanders are shareholders with Sun Oil.
The FNM moved the packing house from north to south. So now the PLP move the government fuel contracts from north to south. The argument will be, as was the FMN, is that is where the majority of the population is. So why does BLT have such an interest in north Long Island now? Her interest to date has only been staying at the most luxurious accommodation on the island which is Cape Santa Maria. She doe not even have to leave the resort to find freshly baked Long Island bread.
"Challenge" is the most overused word in The Bahamas. You hear it by most "managers" wherever you go but very rarely does anything ever improve. It is almost like there is an aversion to utter the word " problem ". Perhaps if issues faced were viewed more as a "problem" rather than a " challenge", situations may improve faster!
TruePeople. You recent comment confirms why investors find it next to impossible to find properly educated people to work in their enterprises. As to love, it is more than evident given this nation is 12th in the world in murders how much Bahamians love each other. I strongly suspect you are among the tens of thousands of voters that look at an election as an opportunity to sell the next five years of your life for $100.00, a tee-shirt and a half pint. As to the results of my personal procreation, rest assured my offspring are well educated and grounded. I pray for the future of this nation that you are sterile.

Choice seems clear. Trust politicians or a man who has $800 million invested and resides with his Bahamian creditors.
