I cannot understand how ANY fastfood place is allowed to operate when clearly it is impossible for them to maintain even 3 feet apart. 6 feet is totally out of the question!

This is a disaster just waiting to happen as the staff are more than likely from larger families and will find it difficult to isolate at home. Hopefully government has taken this into consideration and made proper arrangements.

Secondly, fastfood joints produces a heck of a lot of road traffic, AND is the perfect environment for infected lndividuals to pass on the virus through handling everybody's food.

Trump controls the CDC and what they can tell Americans, and he has screwed up royally so far. After telling us "not to worry", "It's a Democrat hoax" "It'll go away like magic" "It's just another flu", "It'll go away when it warms up" NO WAY am I just relying on Trump and the CDC!

Any D average 9 year old Bahamian can come up with research disagreeing with Trump and the CDC.

PM Minnis is obviously not infallible. Quarterbacking from the outside looking in, his possible missteps some now blame him for looks avoidable. However, we are not privileged to know what criteria led Dr. Minnis to make such drastic decisions.

He admitted that his measures would be painful, but necessary to save lives.

At least Dr. Minnis is doing as best he could in uncharted waters to deal with the pandemic head-on from an aggressive mitigation point of view.

Regardless of his reasoning, I would much rather be here dealing with Dr. Minnis than in the U.S. dealing with President Trump in this situation!

With all their "specialist" and scientific knowledge, lack of action has already plunged the US into the epicenter of the world. They will be totally overwhelmed in 3 to 4 weeks in the
worst self-inflicted war in their history.

Carry on Dr. Minnis!!

@ThisIsOurs......You continue to be fooled by a class of men in suits calling themselves "leaders" who have always lied to and mislead the entire world.

Just ask yourself one simple question. If masks are vitally important PPE to protect "healthy" doctors and other health professionals, why wouldn't they protect everybody else just as well?

Anyone with even elementary deduction and reasoning skills can figure this out.

In any event, you and anyone else with your thinking can carry on smartly listening to these clowns, and let's see what the end result will be for you in about 18 days from now. Good luck!

"finally" the great white geniuses in the U.S. have finally decided that you sheeple should be wearing masks.....But not the good N95 ones yet...Lol

They are now debating which hand you sheeple should use to wipe your arsses after taking a dump. Meanwhile, don't wipe.....Stay tuned.

OMG....your lack of knowledge, unwillingness to do research before casting an opinion is *really* scary!

**Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah,** 29 previous posts critiquing, criticizing and complaining about just about every move the PM has made in an almost absolutely impossible scenario to even begin imagining, and not one suggestion of how we can possibly turn this corona-19 sour lime situation into honey-sweetened switcher from any of you genius know it alls!

The Prime Minister was **man enough** to admit he needed help and asked ideas on how to turn things in our favor. Had Pindling, Ingraham, and Christie done the same and listened to the people, our country wouldn't be in such dire straights in the first place. They were all head with not a brain between them!

Given the situation, why don't ALL of us stop whining and complaining, and put our heads together for once as a people, for the benefit of everyone to try our best to determine what we should do as a country moving forward?

I will start the ball rolling with my suggestion and look forward to other possible solutions.

Firstly, in a nutshell, to put things in perspective, short & sweet. My projection is due to their absolutely, unbelievable, extremely, lackadaisical, late reaction to the coronavirus, the U.S. will be totally overwhelmed and will find themselves totally inundated fighting for the next 4 to 6 months. Tourism from the US is probably off the table until very late 4th quarter 2020 or early 2021......maybe.

The Bahamas, Caribbean, and Latin American countries are more than likely to rebound before the US. We need to **start now** sourcing food supplies, seriously developing regional agri-partnerships and repositioning the Bahamas as a duty-free shopping hub (like Panama) for the region.

What an extremely sad state to be caught in! This young person and any number of others in our country after doing all they can to support themselves, suddenly find themselves between the proverbial rock and a hard place.

Ms. Adderley is pleading for assistance, but she did not include how to contact her. If anyone knows her, please put her contact information here so if someone can be of any assistance, they have a means of contacting her.

In the interim, perhaps PM Minnis can quickly look into the possibility of how constituency offices can be used as another layer of a safety net layer to assist and bring some relief to her and other people that find themselves in this type of immediate dire need situation.
