No amount of ducking and blaming the family will change the fact that after PLP and FNM 50 year dismal failure with immigration, education, natural resources, and sustainable development policies = A failed society.

We were led by them to this place!

SP says...

PRIME Minister Philip “Brave” Davis is focusing on peanuts while **billions** literally pass through our fingers annually!

The Bahamas **continues to lose billions annually** in the tourism sector because the PLP and FNM never had any "real" understanding of **resort destination tourism.**

A **1980** airport tourism exit survey quizzed visitors asking them their biggest complaint of their Bahamas vacation. The number one complaint was **not enough to do in nassau**

Three decades, 8 million arrivals to date and a spanking new $300M port later, the number one complaint remains **not enough to do in nassau** and with the lose of **all live band night clubs and native shows** there is far less to do in Nassau today than there was in 1980!

People vacation with disposable income and expect to **SPEND** those funds visiting places in resort destinations. The PLP and FNM are blind to the huge potential of encouraging Bahamians to create venues for tourist to spend in resort destinations of the Bahamas.

Tourist come to the Bahamas with a preset amount of funds destined to spend in the resort, just as Bahamians travel abroad expecting to return home broke. However, it is the resort destinations responsibility to make it possible for the tourist to part with his money.

Regional competitive resort destinations like Orlando, Key West, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Jamaica, Mexico, and The Dominican Republic tourism products are prime examples of how tourist resort destinations position themselves to **"maximize in-resort spend".**

Comparing these destinations to Nassau, and Freeport is like night and day!

Which tourist resort destination anywhere else in the world closes downtown at 6:00 PM? We literally have tens of thousands of visitors here **DAILY** looking to find and **SPEND** on the Bahamian experience, but cannot do so.

Tourist are willing to spend pockets full of money in the Bahamas but we are unable to "collect it from them".

This is the absolute height of ignorance and stupidity!

If the government had any sense they would actively encourage a goal of tourist resort spend of $250.00 each. The 8+ million projected visitors would translate to $2,000,000,000 in the Bahamas this year alone!

Davis needs to stop standing around chasing pennies and simply encourage Bahamian entrepreneurs and businesses to create ways to collect money tourist are dying to spend in the Bahamas.

Regardless, stupid still does as stupid is!

SP says...

Typical. Tough on Bahamians and free pass for American and Dominican fisherman that fish for everything 24/7/365 with impunity!

SP says...

CSP Skippings sounds like a badly rehearsed politically correct response. The government never takes responsibility for anything!

Political puppets are again being used to manipulate the narrative by **"blaming everything on the family"** to hide 50 years of failed leadership!

We are reaping what the PLP and FNM sowed for the past 50 years. The undeniable fact is they brought us to where we are today.

The "family" has been warning successive administrations for 5 decades of the obvious dangers and repercussions of failed natural resources, education, immigration, sustainable development, etc.

Both parties are totally deaf, blind, and especially dumb when it comes to looking out for the well being of Bahamians!

SP says...

"The PLP campaigned that it had the answers to violent crime, while the Ingraham administration did not".

The PLP and FNM failed education and immigration policies are the chief engineers of crime!

We will continue to have increasing crime issues until we rid ourselves of the useless PLP and FNM.

SP says...

They can choose not to acknowledge the facts and continue playing stupid until the coming of Christ. This crime dilemma was created by the PLP and FNM **decades of failed immigration policies** that allowed blue collar expat workers to displace Bahamians for jobs and courting Haitians to populate the country!

Latrae Rahming elevator does not go all way to the top. "The government can't ensure there is no fallout on businesses,” because excursion operators revealed there has already been very negative fall out with reduced sales to prove it!

“The prime minister speaking to a number of CEOs, including Baha Mar, Atlantis and a number of major players" is too little too late. The horse already left the barn and Davis just reach.

What the prime minister needs to be doing is focusing on dismantling Haitian gangs on our streets and in our schools, and training young Bahamians to take blue collar jobs back from Asians, and Latinos to stop the average Bahamians from **"needing to join gangs to survive"**

How the hell is Davies going to convince people that the Bahamas is a safe place for both guests and visitors......As former PM Minnis himself exposed that just by him mentioning the government giving contracts to crooks has him afraid for his life on the floor of Parliament? Minnis confirms the government has been complicate with dealing with crooks and corruption so long that it is dangerously systemic. We all know about permeant secretaries, directors, etc, controlling lucrative government contracts for services they themselves know nothing about.

Mr Rahming said the government’s crime plan is focused on disrupting gangs.**...Lol.....** The entire state of Florida with all of it's crime fighting agencies and multilayered gang fighting resources was no match for Haitian gangs. I have no faith whatsoever that the Bahamas crew of clowns will have any success with Haitian gangs.

This crime dilemma could **"never be addressed"** until the government finds the fortitude to acknowledge **and correct** their failed immigration policies that are the root causes of the problem.

SP says...

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, economic Affairs Minister Michael Halkitis and his PLP monks are ducking and dodging too afraid to admit **"their"** excessively violent Haitian gangs are executing Bahamian gangs at an alarming pace and killing tourism too!

Brave, Fred, and Halkitis, need to stop talking stupid bullshyt and explain to the country how they plan to stop the turf drug war between Haitian and Bahamian gangs that is already sending shockwaves through our fragile tourism industry.

Where the hell is **PLP chief tourism propagandist** hotel boss Sands hiding with his totally asinine prediction less than two weeks ago that violent crime would have no affect on tourism? These political jackasses make stupid misleading statements then go deep into hiding when reality steps in proving they are full of bullshyt!

Sands needs to be a man for once and get in line behind Brave, Mitchell and Halkitis to get his medicine that we the people have for them.

We the people warned the PLP and FNM dumb clowns for decades that courting inherently violent Haitians would lead to them to duplicating in the Bahamas what they have done to Haiti! The chickens have now come home to roost.

Where is Brave, Mitchell, and Halkitis solution to public schools that are threatened daily by violent Haitian children terrorizing teachers and Bahamian students?

Brave talked a heap of steaming bullshyt about sending Bahamian troops to fight gangs in Haiti, but he can't figure out how to fight murdering Haitian gangs destroying our number one industry in broad daylight on our streets, and in our schools right here in Nassau!

SP says...

The government is afraid to expose the truth that the murders are an ongoing gang war between Haitian and Bahamian gangs.....**The Haitians are much more violent...and winning the war!**

In New York 4 days ago Joly Germine, 31, of Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti, the self-described “King” of a notoriously violent Haitian gang known as 400 Mawozo, was arested for a gunrunning conspiracy that smuggled firearms to Haiti.

The state of Florida couldn't get Haitian gangs under control without federal government stepping in to assist. The Bahamas and the commissioner of police are total jokes to these Haitian gangs! We have **no chance** in hell of eradicating these violent Haitians!

Thank you PLP and FNM.

SP says...

Lol.......Absolute stupidity continues to reign in the Bahamas! What a crock of nonsense. The article doesn't expose WHY banks are hog tied to ridiculous rules that forbid them to make money!

The anti-money laundering and counter terror financing bullshyt excuses don't hold a thimble of water as I am not aware of any bahamian being caught, tried, or convicted of either supposed offense.

Anyone can open a bank account online in the US in a matter of minutes!

Western colonial masters are to blame for this stupidity. The colonizers have made it all but impossible for the Bahamas to function as a financial center and our politicians are too busy kissing ass to care about the Bahamas!

SP says...

national Emergency Medical Services Deputy Director Kevin Bell needs to use his contacts to have the PLP and FNM heads examined for creating this crime wave by giving all the peoples blue collar jobs to expats for the last 50 years!

PLP and FNM believed **the unemployment they caused** wouldn't be a problem because Bahamians were so stupid they would simply silently sit back and watch their families starve to death.

Wayne Munroe says he has a dilemma identifying gangs and members.

The biggest gang is named **"urban survival"** was gradually created by the PLP and FNM over 50 years as they gave tens of thousands of blue collar jobs to expats, forcing unemployed Bahamians to learn to hustle in the streets for survival!

Thank you PLP and FNM. What would we have done and where would we be without you?
