It is amusing that Michael Scott seems surprised at being railroaded by Hutchison Whampoa.
Anyone with a peanut-sized brain and the ability to read knows that Chinese are cutthroat business people that have absolutely no tolerance for foreign intervention, partnerships or cooperation at any level. The Chinese are well known for doing business with foreigners on a "need" bases only and with the ultimate goal of getting rid of the foreigner as soon as possible at any cost and at the earliest possible opportunity.
Without a doubt, the Chinese government rightly perceived Perry Christie as an easily caged & corruptable minion, hence the present situation of Chinese ownership of our major tourism product.
We can expect many more complications than Michael Scott's experience thanks to the personal greed and gross stupidity of Perry Gladstone Christie and Hubert Alexander Ingraham!
Guaranteed these people waste fortunes wearing all the newest fashions, shoes, riding around in shiny, fresh cars with expensive tires, rims, window tint, and have a ball wasting money every weekend and holiday!
These fools have their priorities backward. How did they figure not paying their mortgage was a good idea?
Let's see how they will go to work without those clothes that got locked up with the houses and how they will live and eat in those nice shiny cars with a dray load of pissed off kids who can't go to school.
Stupid does as stupid is. I have no sympathy for these stupid people, they deserve to be kicked out, but I am concerned about the innocent, suffering children of these stupid "parents".
Disney's proposal is exactly the type of resort destination development the Bahamas should have focused on for the last 5 decades!
Why dumb Pindling, dumber Ingraham and dumbest Christie couldn't see the value of simply copying Orlando by inviting theme park developers to partner with the Bahamas in creating a truly unique sun fun resort destination, is a mystery of deep stupidity we'll never understand.
That being said, although we badly need sustainable development and our tourism product is in need of serious intensive care, we **DO NOT** want Disney or anyone else coming here developing 100% foreign-owned tourist attractions. Disney should be made to partner with Bahamian investors to ensure Bahamians become **OWNERS** of our number 1 industry.
Just how stupid do Disney think we are to believe the Bahamas should be overjoyed with 150 measly jobs out of a $400M investment?
Do the math. If Disney charged the proposed minimum of 540,000 annual passengers $200.00 each for a day pass excursion to this Cay their gross would be $108,000,000.00 or with 1 million passengers $200,000,000.00 per year from a $400,000,000.00 investment. Totally outstanding and unprecedented ROI!
Secondly, as always, as soon as Disney receive approval they become like Haitians and simultaneously forget what a Bahamian is and have little to no use for us!!
The government needs to finally realize what we have and implement policies to cause joint venture projects for Bahamians to partners with these type developments, even if on a small scale.
**we must start somewhere** to being owners of our economy and destiny! History has proven 100% dependence on foreign investors is not sustainable.
Meanwhile, in the land of reality, illegals and jackasses will continue breaking every traffic law imaginable and there still won't be a police around to catch them!
Less blah and more action would be a welcomed change.
Marvin Dames must think we're all stupid. As a police, he knows damn well the cops have been way out of control from the beginning. Everyone knows this is nothing new. Police brutality has always been a fact of life here.
2 years ago, the incident on P.I. bridge involving the beach vendors had a similar police gorilla attack, slam a guy to the pavement, brutally assault the man and no one in authority as much as batted an eye!
If an individual is handcuffed or otherwise under control, the police should have no lawful authority to brutalize them and should be charged with assault like any other citizen.
This girl is a typical Haitian parasite, riding Bahamians like donkeys! No doubt she was encouraged and egged on by others like her to dis Bahamians and the Bahamas and to publically express her allegiance to Haiti "after" winning the crown.
Pindling, Ingraham, and Christie are 100% responsible for facilitating these dam Haitian parasites invading our country.
Why the hell are these people being given citizenship in the Bahamas when they have unquestionably proven to have absolutely no loyalty to the Bahamas? What are we doing? And what do we expect the future to hold for our children when they are faced with this "invisible enemy within"?
