Before gathering the troops and running out with guns and bayonets drawn, Minister of Tourism Dionisio D’Aguilar must first be cognizant that resort shore excursions are a huge profit center for cruise lines. In one year, Royal Caribbean earned a third of its profits from selling shore excursions alone!

D’Aguilar is in for a fight and must approach the situation from "outside the box" to effect change in the cruise excursion business to benefit the Bahamas. He must stand his ground, and demand more equitable participation for Bahamian excursion operators.

Unquestionably cruise lines have been allowed to rape the Bahamas for shore excursion spend for decades to the detriment of shore excursion operators and to a greater extent the Bahamas at large.

caricom miserably failed the region by not having sense enough to work in concert regulating the cruise industry regionally for the benefit of caricom countries. Instead, sister regional governments have individual ministers of tourism the likes of Obie Wilchcombe and Prime Ministers such as Christie and Ingraham sitting with multi-billion dollar cruise companies negotiating one on one, which has always proven a total non-starter.

That all being said, as the Bahamas is now heading to a more digital booking experience overall for tourism, the best course of action to remedy the Bahamas cruise tourism excursion shortfall and increasing, or getting better market share of excursion sales spend is to offer excursions digitally along with bookings, and have excursion tour operators receive bookings through, **and pay commissions** directly to the ministry of tourism.

Cruise lines must be made to unshackle excursion tour operators one way or another, not just in the Bahamas but also regionally! **caricom** must finally get some teeth and begin to do what it is mandated to do...Starting with regulating the cruise industry for the greater benefit of the Caribbean diaspora!

I would **L-O-V-E** the opportunity to lead this charge!!!

Perhaps your "march in the streets" colleages were the "big boys" envolved at every level from top to bottom profiting from “highly padded” single-sourced contracts and unfairly awarded tenders and conflicts of interest deals by state officials who used their positions to promote friends, family and lovers and their private backdoor businesses.

Anyone associated with the "march in the streets" have clearly identified themselves with all that is wrong with our country, and are quite possibly the nucleus of the massive administrative apparatus it required to manage the wholesale corruption of our country.

PM Sheriff Minnis has made the first and by far the most difficult step imaginable by addressing corruption!

There can be no true forward movement until lurking pirates are eradicated. This "march" and all the opposition **from both sides**PM Minnis prior to election 2017 were all reprisals by pirates.

Redirecting the countries trajectory with a 180-degree turn after decades of UBP, PLP and FNM collaborative corruption and mismanagement is a hulking job that first requires extensive research into **what is "really what" and who must be held accountable.**

I am confident PM Sheriff Minnis will prove when the House regains session, that he and his team hit the ground running!

Corruption is well accepted as by far the single biggest problem in the Bahamas. More people have been brought before the courts charged with corruption in 4 months than the previous 50 years!

That in itself is a monumental achievement by PM Sheriff Minnis administration that required a tremendous amount of work.

The matter of halting the spiral of Moody's downgrades in such a short period is without question phenominal.

What these loons were "marching" about is beyond comprehension. Where were they when **P**illage **L**oot **P**lunder stupidity was destroying the country?

Ultimately, the march was actually in support of **P**illage **L**oot **P**lunder corruption and no Moody's downgrade!

Reduce the number of students by getting rid of the burden of Haitians and focus on **the tax-paying citizens of the bahamas!**

With human smuggling, drug smuggling and arms dealing bringing the most to Haiti's GDP, nobody anywhere has ever heard of Haitians reporting criminal activity of other Haitians!

The Dominican Republic, United Staes and now Canada are getting rid of these parasitic, inherently corrupt people.
