Bahamians must become owners or at minimal partners in owning economic drivers of the economy or we will continue to be at the mercy of profit driven foreign entities having no stake in the well being of Bahamians and the country at large who find it all to convenient to pack up and abandon all in sundry.
As a result of 4 decades of foreigners owning everything, we find ourselves in a very precarious position!
Cuba has it right! Nobody can enter business in Cuba without 51% Cuban partnership ensuring should the foreign partner decide to pull out for whatever reason the "entity" survives as an asset to the country.

Hubert Ingraham drove the country into the ground, made the dumbest mistakes of any PM, was an absolute failure, misappropriated funds for reelection, did nothing when his Cabinet minister of tourism was caught red handed walking away with $5M through shell companies and in 2012 named as "worst leader in the region" by Moody's and the IMF!
He did have special love for being in the company of white people though.

Successive governments 4 decades of exclusion policies which lock too many out of building the country has now come full circle to bite them hard in the backside.
Too many have too little.
Without affirmative action and redistribution of wealth the "have nots" only recourse will be focused attention on the few "haves" and it doesn't look too promising for them.

Much more preferable to rid ourselves of the political grouping of corrupt obstructionist that drove the country into the ditch, properly develop and manage natural resources, focus on the 450M North Americans just across the pond and develop a serious tourism product.
The greatest and only "real" impediment to Bahamas growth is a very small group of corrupt individuals working in concert to pillage and plunder everything for themselves.
We need freedom from oppression, victimization and exclusion.
**We do not need WTO with their conglomerate multinational companies joining further partnerships with the elite pirates called "politicians"!**
