For Dr. Minnis to be even remotely taken seriously, he must start "fighting corruption" within his own party by exposing the missing $5 million that disappeared with his former colleague Cabinet tourism Minister just before 2012 elections!

Otherwise STFU!

Eureka,....Caught one! The gullibility of corrupt friends, family and lovers of corrupt politicians renders them easily recognizable and trapped. These are the people quick to defend their pirate captains and crew, waltzing around trying to convince others that "all is well" in Bahamas under their tribal pirate leadership.

I am well aware of former Trinidadian Justice Alfred 1989 conviction of then Acklins and Crooked Island MP, the late Wilbert Moss, for attempting to bribe a magistrate on behalf of a constituent. Mr Moss was accused of offering a $10,000 “advantage” to the magistrate.

You swallowed the bait hook, line and sinker that exposes the classic example of highest level of corruption rampant in Bahamas with politicians and the Judiciary!

However, this one "accidental conviction" by a **foreign Justice,** even when coupled with the Eisel Sherman passport selling scandal (which you somehow missed) pails miserably to compare with the US conviction record, especially considering the massive scale of corruption well known to exist at highest levels in Bahamas for eons. Brush up on your ciphering.

**.... Da Official Front Man, Sir Jackass Snake is attempting to defend the indefensible ....**

This is a very short and easily settled argument.

Records confirm as of 1777 hundreds of American federal politicians were convicted of crimes.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_A…

Now we simply compare the number of corrupt Bahamian politicians who were convicted of crimes.

"*Crickets chirp*...None!

The only “Bahamian national interest” that need to be defended is those of us vehemently opposed to decades of entrenched systemic and endemic corruption decimating our country and people would LOVE to see the US bitch slap the PLP and FNM out of existence.

Case closed.

**...................... Leslie Miller may have allowed himself to be used in a setup .....................**

Everyone agrees without question that corruption at the highest levels is the #1 problem plaguing our country and main reason for economic regression in Bahamas.

The US making broad unsubstantiated incriminating statements doesn't pass the smell test!

With shocking frequency numerous world leaders have recently been caught up and exposed in corruption scandals. Having decades of accumulated mountains of evidence of corruption in Bahamas, coupled with recent banks and Panama Papers exposure of collaborating political corruption, it wouldn't surprise me if the US has finally set in motion a clear path to get rid of massively corrupt regime on their doorstep.

Leslie Miller might have well been better off keeping his mouth shut as Hubert Ingraham did when Moody's and the IMF exposed him of being the worst leader in the Hemisphere just months prior to the 2012 election.

The PLP are certainly in no position to debate corruption with the US, as it is an argument they simply cannot win, which can only lead to seriously destabilizing the government prior to 2017 elections.

Regardless of US reasoning, the timing of this accusation suggest there is much more than meets the eye.

One must also be cognizant that the PLP has made enemies of several very well connected multibillionaires which not only cannot possibly work in their favor, but who will solicit powerful US lobbyist and stop at nothing to even the score *just because they can!*

Leslie Miller has set the perfect stage for the US to elaborate, and totally obliterate the PLP government with damming evidence of corruption.

***Brilliant!***

**............. Bahamas must implement Singapore's anti-corruption best practices ...........**

The structure, strategies and a clear path to wiping out corruption has proven successful in Singapore.

This is not rocket science. All we need do is study their website to learn how to copy Singapore model to save our country!

SP says...

**...................No such thing as an "honest" government anywhere in the galaxy...................**

There is no question that corruption exists in the US and indeed every government. The question is "what levels of corruption and what vehicles and measures are in place to fight corruption".

This take all you get without fear of consequences level of corruption in our country is totally unacceptable, has decimated our country and people to the point of near total dysfunction, putting us on a fast tract to a failed state Haiti like status.

Regardless of whether or not the US is also corrupt or not, shouldn't be our focus. We need to focus on saving OUR country before hitting rock bottom and ending up like Haiti or several other once prosperous now destroyed countries.

It is time to clean house, implement first world anti-corruption standards, prosecute those found corrupt and put our country on a totally different projectory.

Singapore is prime example of a country decimated by corruption that fought their way out of the clutches of a corrupt two party system, prosecuted and jailed corrupt officials, implemented iron clad anti-corrupt policies, totally turned their country around, is now a very prosperous country and the envy of the world!

We need to simply follow their model to right our country.

http://livelystories.com/2011/08/26/how…

Alternative becoming a failed state is inevitable, as we have already regressed to 1980's level as reported last week and the only possible "future" under the PLP or FNM is more of the same.

With the establishment of an anti corruption unit or FOIA also comes powers to revisit, investigate and prosecute historical corruption!

The PLP nor FNM can stand scrutiny into corruption because most would end up jailed in a heartbeat.

No one in the FNM will answer for the whereabouts of the $5 Million former FNM Cabinet tourism minister absconded with just before 2012 elections or demand immediate resolution to Fred Ramsey facilitating the BEC bribe for Cabinet.

As long as its their crew of pirates doing the pillaging, both political tribal supporters are just supportive!

***What nonsense is that?***
