Ohhh please! What they reported on wasn't anything NEW. Can you honestly tell me that you were surprised to learn that some bribery has been taking place within the Bahamian Govt? If so, you might be the most naive person in the entire country.

The reports are that the Omicron version is much, much less troublesome. Very mild symptoms -- which hopefully means very few folks end up in hospitals.

It's called providing "basic living needs." The govt has an obligation to ALL of its citizens to provide basic living needs. For example: a school for the kids, a health clinic, a functional working dock, airport, post office, etc, etc, etc.
Furthermore, if this island is ever going to sustain it's self and provide a safe and prosperous environment for its inhabitants (and potentially attract business and tourists) this type of investment in the infrastructure is critical -- regardless of the cost.

White and foreign??? Huh??? It isn't Royal Caribbean's fault. They simply asked for the deal. 110% of the blame and fault should be towards Minnis. He is the low life piece of sh*t that agreed to the deal on behalf of the Bahamas. Ohhh... and I believe he wasn't white nor a foreigner.

How is the Tribune unfair on this particular article? The Tribune is actually asking all the right questions. The article clearly states what the PLP promised it would do to reduce murders and crime -- none of which has occurred yet.
4 dead in one weekend. Wow. People are clearly frustrated. The Tribune is only expressing that frustration -- as any good journalist should.

Sad story? It is much, much more sad when someone dies of Covid and isn't vaccinated. The fact that is still happening is truly sad.
Your odds of dying from Covid are significantly higher when unvaccinated than if you were vaccinated. From that fact alone, the decision to get the vaccine is fairly simple.

If they are coming here to work, be productive citizens, pay their share of taxes, and follow the laws of the land -- then I have ZERO issues with them. In fact, I might even be willing to swap them with many, many Bahamian citizens who drop out of school prematurely, aren't productive citizens, don't pay their share of taxes, and don't follow our laws.
