As an American, I can honestly say that the vast majority of US citizens that live outside of Florida have absolutely no issues or problems with Cuba. We want normalized relations with Cuba and it is blatantly obvious the 50+ year trade embargo hasn't worked. What we witnessed under the Obama administration is what the vast majority of US citizens want and were very excited about -- only to be hijacked by the new administration. Unfortunately, the influences from south Florida are too strong and persuasive and most Republicans will cowardly give-in to their demands to continue to punish Cuba. As a registered Republican myself, it is absolutely embarrassing, childish-like behavior, and very closed-minded. Fingers crossed we get a new administration in November and our country can start again to normalized relations with our neighbor to the south.
