So in other countries all of those policeman walking around with tasers and pepper spray or a baton on their belts have ALL written to their Commissioner of Police to ask for specific permission? I simply cannot accept that Mr. Munroe is suggesting that our police officers have to do that and that this is our procedure. If Munroe is correct and that our officers are issued hand guns but yet need specific approval to carry pepper spray then SURELY he can see where that procedure is flawed, because if that is the case then undoubtedly there a senior officer at every police station whose job it is to check every single officer's belt/gear against an list of items that each officer is approved to carry?
Just disgusting. And that cop is someone's 'good son'. I hope the investigation doesn't stop with him - as he most likely got directions from higher up. And where did he get the drugs? From his personal stash or from the evidence locker? This isn't a random setup - this was planned.
I guess the only place he will be able to find work now is with the PLP.
Mr. Walker decides to speak up now, after we've committed to break ground? ROFL. Buddy... pretend this is football - you need to get the play calls in early, because you can't call timeouts in real life.
So most Bahamians will have to continue to pay for their private health care AND have to contribute to NHI to help fund health care for everyone else. Dropping private coverage is not an option because we well know that relying on Government health is a death sentence. The cost of living here is just becoming more absurd because of the continued failure of Government - especially this one.
No way Uber can come here. We soundly reject organized service with known fares. We must be independent in choosing to where we will drive; whom we will allow into our vehicles (tourists only) and whether or not we will give change to our passengers. And to force our taxis to be roadworthy vehicles - foget about it!!!!
