The scary thing is... if they do actually collect all of this we STILL won't see any improvements to infrastructure, health care, social services etc. Somehow this additional money will poof out of existence. Contracts will get bigger but yet the work will never be completed and the quality will be so poor that whatever is constructed or repaired will not be useable. The more money government gets the more money that disappears into the black hole of corruption.
So instead of rushing a 10 year old drafted bill through, Obie is now doing nothing with the bill? That certainly isn't rushing, so he's correct on that point at least. Then again most sensible people would consider a 10 year process isn't a rush job either.
It would have been better if the family didn't say anything, because it sure sounds like she left the child at the hospital for 2 days and only linked back with the child after being hit by a car. I think abandoning your child for 2 days at a hospital counts as abandonment.
A few bushes cleared for $4.5million? This must be chalked up as a massive success for the PLP. I'm just thankful they did something... anything with all that money. To actually get $5k worth of work from a million dollar PLP budget was beyond my wildest dreams.
A Bahamian man OR woman should be able to automatically pass on their citizenship to their children whether married or unmarried. To think otherwise is non-sensical.
More time? More friggin time?!?!?!?! They can't be serious! Any sensible conversation with them would stop right there. And to suggest that Government should build places for them to rent. Insane.
I disagree. The police shootings are the only justice the citizens of The Bahamas are getting at the moment. Every other facet of law enforcement, judiciary and politics is a complete failure. We can't hang them we can't even get them to be put behind bars. The small time thieves are the only ones getting locked up. The only option is for police to double tap the worst of the worst. My only prayer is that the hand of god guide the bullets to the skulls of the criminals so that no innocent's get injured. praise him!!!
