Now when he says "The Bahamas is open for business" does he mean the entire Bahamas or does he mean the PLP? I always get confused with this particular group of politicians.

The good thing about this discussion is that it puts each pastor and church on display. Some look at it sensibly and think about the abuse being performed on married woman by their spouse and want to help solve a difficult issue and then some pastors and church's will scream bloody murder at the thought of woman having any say whatsoever in the household; they will do all in their power to ensure that woman are there to serve.

He must be self-proclaimed pastor because no church organization would support such an ignorant pastor.

Boy God seems to be shining a spotlight on Bishops recently. Their day of reckoning must be coming. I suggest they truly find God and follow his message instead of just speaking it.

So true. Birdie is a constant reminder of the deep rooted issues that the country has to overcome before we can hope to achieve 'good governance'.

Absolutely agree that the FNM messed this up BAD. They took forever to erect the few they did erect and now I'm seeing pictures of how close they are together. These are NOT sound proof products so they should have been erected much further apart to give these poor people space and privacy and a little yard space to call their own.
And there's no way these people should have been in there this long. As you say this was supposed to be temporary. Plans should have been in place to get homes rebuilt but we also saw that building material was just stockpiled, in the elements no less, and never distributed. Foreign help was turned away for what reason? Crazy bad decisions were made.
This tragedy was so poorly managed it's disturbing.
And the sad thing about it.... I don't think the powers that be have learned a damned thing from it. I bet you your right arm that after the next disaster many of the same people with be employed to do help.
