Let's not forget though that the black slave trade as we think of it started in Africa by African tribes rounding up other weaker tribes and selling the enslaved men and woman to the white man.
Throughout history the conquering army enslaved the losers and kept them for labor and for fighting in their front lines. Native American Indians did it, the Romans did it, the Huns did it. This is not only a black people's story... this is a story of mankind. White, black, indian... every race has been enslaved at some point and will be again I'm sure.

Damn right! The new mini baseball stadium is $70 million and that's still not guaranteed to be completed at that price.
They just want to trap the government into borrowing more and having to borrow another billion later to complete any project in the future.
This is just another way the IDB tries to bankrupt a small country.

They know that corrupt politicians will use a report like this to steal more money from the treasury.

The same arguments can be used in this instance that are used for the death penalty, being.... a harsh penalty doesn't stop someone from doing something it's just a punishment.

I personally believe that a harsh penalty will stop all sensible people from doing incredibly disgusting things. A harsh penalty is there to punish the sickos that are going to rape and murder people. Hopefully the penalties are harsh enough to remove sickos from society for ever.

I think they want their collection plates at 100%. Hopefully the churches take the opportunity to send a sensible message and stop rehashing what "Jesus" did all those years ago.

Question: Can we just keep on doing what we're doing to sell carbon credits in the future or can we only sell credits where we make certain improvements? In other words... can we only sell credits based on an **increase** in mangrove acreage (for example)? If we need to keep on improving then I am very skeptical in our success in the scheme.

Don't worry - someone will take out this shooter tomorrow tonight. And the earth keeps spinning.

We also need to include other restrictions in addition to age, for sex... like having a job; at least $5k in the bank, not be on crack and being in a meaningful relationship. This should bring down crime significantly within 16 years.

"How many jitney drivers will be left?" Lol. That is excellent!!!

No need to worry. The gang community knows who did the shooting and revenge will be taken this week I'm sure.

The police probably know as well but can't do anything until they collect evidence etc. etc. The case will be resolved on the streets.

There are going to be tough times ahead. Our government needs to educate Bahamians on this so that they stop breeding youths that nobody wants and nobody can hire.
Ask most white people how many kids they want to have and the 20 year olds say 1, the late teens say none. Ask the young black kids how many kinds they want and most of them already got at least one - and have no intention of stopping there.
