Are there penalties for impeding or obstructing these audits? If so, what are they? If not, then I am not surprised.

History has proven that in our government, those that help the sitting government the most, by any means necessary, get rewarded.

Testing (PCR or antigen) is not easy to get anymore. I have been to 2 different states lately and it was extremely difficult to get either test done. Many pharmacy's stopped providing tests and others couldn't get the testing supplies. And where you could get a test done one had to make a reservation days before you even arrived (sometimes a week or two out).

Truthfully, for a tourist dependent country like ours, testing is not the solution. It is too cumbersome to come by and the amount of false positives and negatives makes the whole process quite ridiculous. We just need to enforce mask wearing and social distancing and take our chances.

Another sad reminder that we need foreigner experts to negotiate on our behalf. We simply don't have the experience or fortitude or financial position to negotiate deals where we get a fair amount.

I suspect that whoever dumped those glass walled containers on Junkanoo Beach a couple of years ago is a PLP and will now be able to open those nasty containers for business.
That beach will look like a dump in no time.

Immigration is a hot topic around the world at the moment. The poor and downtrodden are all looking for a better life elsewhere. But how are first world countries supposed to manage this?
Even if a country determines how many immigrants they can comfortable take in each year there we always be more people at the gates. Countries, like ours, only have limited capacity. If we allow 100k immigrants in each year (way too much in my opinion) what do we do when the next 100 come pleading (or sneaking). Will the world and civil rights activists then come to our side and say we've done our part, you 100 have to go home? I really doubt that will ever happen. What if we accept 200k? The activists and humanitarians will still not be content and will say... you can surely fit a few hundred more.
The more I think about it the more I think a country has to be "all or none". One thing is for sure though, our little country will be overwhelmed with the cost of immigration a lot sooner than the US or Europe. For us, a slack immigration policy simply means the sooner we ourselves will be sneaking into the US for a better life. We can't even house or take care of the people residing in The Bahamas now.

Excellent news. Now the tourists will be able to buy mostly imported stuff from mostly non-bahamian sale vendors. Do the Bahamian stall owners even go to the market to see what their Jamaican and Haitian staff are doing?

Why say Shell? I could only find a Shell **Energy** North America. Is this who the deal is with? Or is it Sun Oil and Franky Wilson dem? Shell International probably knows nothing about this deal.

From Shell's website.... “Sun Oil” has been the local marketer and distributor of Shell fuels and lubricants..." Sun Oil only sells Shell's products.

I'm glad the church is speaking out. They tend not too.

I am surprised though that they are not offering to grant this man forgiveness if he repents and gives 10% of his income (if he has any). After all, God will forgive you for all of your sins - no matter how often you sin.
