*“There had to be strategic steps and you know, some may have thought that those steps may have been too slow, but I can guarantee you we have five Atlantic bottlenose dolphins so we’re quite pleased that we took the time to ensure they’re safe.”* What an ignorant and stupid comment. He forgot to mention the number of dead dolphins which weren't so pleased as they starved to death. Typical politician move. Watch a disaster coming for years and then save 5 people after everyone is dead and pat yourself on the back. It must be nice to be so ignorant, uncaring and utterly stupid.
Sad. It's also sad that we signed that agreement. But who would have know that our own people would turn out to be so corrupt and greedy and so focused on keeping the masses under-educated and still begging for indoor toilets and reliable power. Offering us our independence was the worst thing Britain could have done to us. We simply weren't, and still are not, mature enough to be on our own.
This new hospital should be able to provide ALL services. Then the older and decrepit parts of PMH can be leveled in order to make room for certain additional services in the future. This new hospital should also have double layer parking and we are not known for providing sufficient parking for any building or venue - just look at Sandals out west and the cars parked on every and all green spaces. It's bloody chaos out there and a huge eyesore.
The problem is no political party wants to reduce the flow of funds going to the oil cartel here in The Bahamas. Senior members of both parties benefit from the extra tens of millions we pay in unnecessarily high electricity costs. Money flows up - and the politicians like it this way. The destruction of the country while the right people benefit is exactly according to plan.
Don't slunk on the PLP. They are practiced mafiosos! Any agreement and documentation will have an attractive penalty that will benefit them personally. This will not be the first time the PLP will have set up the FNM for grand embarrassment if they choose to try and reverse anything they do. Criminals at this level of play think many steps ahead. The FNM continue to be geeks who are ignorant about how bad and devious evil people can be.

This is a Catch 22 for the PLP. If they speak then we know they're lying. If they're silent then we know they're up to no good.

I'm thinking it would be cheaper if I just run a power line from my house directly to Freeport. How many drop cords do you think that would be?
