Wait a second now. Some of you want less jail time for violent criminals just because our jail is full of criminals or because we need to show empathy? WHAT!!!! How can you justify letting nasty, abusive, murdering rapists go free and roam around our streets for those reasons?? Just how??
Christianity and an overall lack of grey matter is truly the downfall of our once great nation. So many of you must have family members who are criminals and you can't see empathize with what a truly innocent person/family feels. Shocking!!!
Bunch of crap. Just today a man got a plea deal of 15 years for incest with his own daughter. This daughter gonna be reliving this for the rest of her life. Surely the father should have to stay in jail for the rest of his life as well, no?? How can you do something like this and then walk free in 15 years while your child is still suffering? How can a lawyer or judge or a normal human being think that 15 years is enough punishment? This man can get out, make more children and do the same thing again.
They need to keep the mall opened 24/7 during the summer so that the thousands of Bahamians without power can at least catch some cool in a secure area.
If that knife penetrated her skull she would be dead. To me that's attempted murder for sure!! Our court system is a complete failure. This man shouldn't be roaming around our streets so quickly. And don't tell me they gave him a restraining order or our Bahamian version (if there is one). The following scenarios are the most likely to occur: 1. This man goes to the house to beg forgiveness and when she refuses she will be killed. 2. This man has a family member who is willing to shut her up.
Politics in itself creates corruption. To get elected individuals have to dole out ten's of thousands in the community as well as ten's of thousands to the party. So after spending a couple of hundred thousand dollars just to get elected then you will want to see that money back in your account as quickly as possible. Then after 2 years the party starts hitting the candidate up for more money if they hope to get nominated again so they spend the next 3 years slurping up cash in the hopes of getting re-nominated. The system was created by man (hence evil) and now the system demands people to be evil in order to join.
