This could all be avoided if our MP's would do what they promised and fix an election date. And if this egotistical man in charge would stop laughing inside every time someone suggests an election date. Power is driving this once decent man (Minnis) insane.
Let me guess, no one in the boat could swim so no one went in the water to look for this poor fella. I mean the guy could only have been a dozen or so feet away from the boat after the collision, and nobody could see him? If he wasn't floating he was surely underwater which means someone with sense would have jumped in the water to look for him.
I'm no fan of BPL but I think they've been very generous by keeping these unfortunate people on staff in Nassau while Abaco was destroyed. However, it is not BPL's responsibility to do this forever. The staff need to take responsibility to rebuild their lives/homes in Abaco. If they choose not to return to Abaco then they need to apply for jobs in Nassau at BPL. If there are no jobs available in Nassau then it is what it is.
Surely there would be traces of drugs or guns in the wreckage, as the plane hit several trees before its final resting place. Some of the cargo would have been scattered around the crash site and out of reach of the fire ball that erupted. Sounds like the investigators were told to roll out - nothing to see here.
I understand and can respect unions that protect staff from wrongful dismissal. BUT I also know of numerous stories of unions protecting thieves who were caught on camera and statements from victims and the union insisted on the 3 warning rule before termination. This one gal could only be fired after being caught stealing for the 4th time - in other words after she had already gotten 3 'formal' warnings. madness!!!
